I did go back to tobacco after more than two years of vaping. two months after re-starting the smokes I felt terrible, had trouble sleeping, couldn't get through a shift at work without feeling out of breath and sluggish. In retrospect it was not worth it. I am happy to report that I am now one month smoke free again and I do not plan on returning. Sure e-cigs can be a hassle at times, however, it is a hassle that I am glad to go through. I sold or gave away most of my mods and other devices, got a couple of Innokin VV v3's some Protank 3's (which I rebuild the coils in about once every week), just to make sure I am getting a good semi-hassle-free-vape. The setup works for me, I don't have to fiddle with it at all, for me it doesn't leak or cause problems. and I vape pretty heavily, about five to six milliliters of juice daily. It truly is about finding the setup that is right for you. When I first began vaping I was enamored with shiny mods and huge light sabre looking APVs so I tried them out, a lot of them, and still nothing was exactly what I wanted, so I bought more. And more. And more. When in all actuality, what I wanted was a small variable wattage device with alright battery life, and a tank that didn't leak that much. I finally found it after nearly three years into my vaping journey. Don't give up, take it from me smoking just isn't worth it. My:2c:

Yeah after my appendectomy, I was so sick for 4 days that vaping wasn't possible, and 4 days of no vaping meant a) vapor tasted terrible to me when I finally could vape again, and b) cravings were beating me senseless -- so senseless that I caved and got some cigarettes and smoked them. It was only supposed to be for a week or two; it ended up being a month, and could easily have gone on much longer, if I hadn't gotten scared of becoming a full-time die-hard never-gonna-quit smoker again.

I just passed my first month back to smoke-free too, Johnny; high-five! And no, I'm not gonna try it again, either; I really don't want to go back to smokers' jail, imprisoned by my own craving for something deadly. No thanks! And thank god I only had one appendix! :D

Awesome. I am glad to hear that you have kicked the analogs again. It was definitely a harder transition the second time 'round. :vapor: I, too almost got sucked into the never gonna quit die hard smoking lifestyle, glad we both made it out alive again.

I really do not know what else to do. I am fed up with constantly having to mess with stuff, spending uber amounts of money on things that never work as promised and just the general hassle that has been my vaping experience over the last two years.

Kinda there myself. So I hear you.

YOu may actually be a candidate for something like White Cloud disposable Flings. My brother is a full time caregiver to a sick elderly person, and has no time to fiddle, I sent him a load of these and he is very happy. It's not as cheap as some vaping can be, but it keeps him off the cigs.

In between, he chews nicotine gum.

He is happy and successfully staying off cigs.

I have only been smoke free for maybe five months now, but I found my magic combination with Taifun GTs and Puck mod home made batteries. I have completely learned how to build the Taifun GT and got a spare so if one goes down I have spare parts. I never have dry hits or leaks and it's so nice and I'm not tempted to go back to analogs. If you take out the inner ring it's a very easy draw. I still have my starter kit which works great still (Ego type pens) but they have a bit of a tight draw and are much harder to rebuild in a tiny sort of way. I don't ever intend to go back to tobacco and I hope you can sort these because it's worth it!

your kayfun issues are most likely a wick issue. there is definitely a learning curve to RBA/RDAs. you need that one friend that "gets" it to show you the light and you'll be good forever

I love my RDA. I'm on my 3rd coil on it that I built myself, and it takes me less than 3 minutes to build and wick. They may not be pretty, but they sure work for my purposes!

I can remember the Joye 510 days. Dry hits were normal operation. We went from the cotton cart fill and the Polyfill to the blue fish tank filter Fluval that you had to buy at the pet store. Then, you had to cut pieces of plastic drink stirrer straws to make the Fluval stand up from the bottom of the cart so more juice would fit in.

Then, we got eGos and went through type A, B, and C plastic tanks that leaked in our pockets. Finally we discovered Boge cartos. First decent and reliable vape I remember was from a Boge carto. I just didn't know what a good vape was until then! I carried a 3ml bottle of juice in my pocket to top it off every 20 or 30 minutes.

When Protank arrived I thought I was in vaping heaven.
You forgot about those teabags that you had to fold a certain way. Those damn carts never worked. Dripping was where it was at

I know some people have keep a Handful of Disposables in their Desk Drawer at work. Kinda the "Break Glass incase of Emergency" thing for when their Coil Dies unexpectantly.

You forgot tea bags.

I remember those, too! You had to cut in a shape that would roll up and leave a center hole like a carto. Still, there was a bridged coil only at the bottom.

To my recollection, the best you could expect in the early days was something that produced vapor like a full flavor cigarette, but without as much flavor as we get today. It was easy to stealth vape. The vapor died easily and didn't hang in the air.

Am test driving a origen RDA this weekend. So far I love it. Can take 15+ hits before it dries out. I also like the fact that I can close the airflow and I get no leaking.

Still wish I can find a no fuss tank with a good airy draw. I think sometime this week I will get to try my friends erlkonigin.

See if you can find a way to try out one of the Smoktech RSBT. If you want a good tank with a super airy draw, that's a good choice, and it's not *terribly* expensive; dfwvapor has it for $34.99, best price I've seen since their amazing sale went off. Really intense vape too, and pyrex tank and driptip.

Super sweet. I have seen them live three times. Great live shows, except for those months after Mic Todd stole all that oxycodone, whoever the fill in was, sucked at backing vocals.

Next time Coheed hits Albuquerque, or Denver I am there

You all have to try the Orchid RDA
Same makers as the Plume Veil
Clones are about for 20-25

After 2 days on the Tobeco Clone of the Orchid, I can say I prefer to my Fogger and Kayfun

Pros -
•Great airflow - closest RBA I have had that allows for decent Lung Hits
•Build - easy 4 post and can handle low Ohms - currently rocking at .5 - my personal sweet spot
•Filling - No issues for me, fill from the top with the air holes covered - minimal leakage
•Flavor - on par with the Kayfun
•Flexibility - will work with Kayfun tanks - will post photo on next Juice filling

CONS:
1.No Air Control Ring - but me like the full open dual air holes
2.Sucks down Juice fast!

For me , this is my favorite RBA - and I use RDA's mostly (Vape Jam, CLT, Magma, and Plume (which is the same manufacturer as the Orchid authentic )
Works at 40 watts on my IPV2 and nicely on my Mechs

This puppy rocks!

I have the orchid. I love it but it seems to leak or dry hit a lot. I have trouble getting the build right on it. Works wonderfully when it does work. The only other complaint I have is filling it. That can be solved with a topfill KF cap though

I was thinking about the top fill which costs more than the RBA !
Do you recommend one that is affordable ?
I just add a bit of the wick into the top of the Juice Channel
Lol, not one thats affordable. I was going to get one that I can use for my kayfuns as well.
