So, have their starter kit. 1 CE4 and 900mah standard battery. It's four weeks old. Well, this week the clearo has failed, and now the battery has malfunctioned -- button is stuck and it's taken on itself to fire at will.

Got it to work enough to shut off the damn thing. Less than a month and this stuff is malfunctioning!? Wow way to go for QC.

Kudos to madvapes though -- they are replacing the battery under warranty.

Certainly makes me think twice about patronizing them again if this is their build quality...

The battery is fair enough, I am glad they sorted that for you.

You need to start thinking of clearo's as disposable, that's why most of us get ones with changeable heads, so we don't need to toss the whole thing, examples would be Protanks, Vivi Novas and iClears.

Another alternative is to buy what is called an RBA where you buy wick and coil and put it in a sturdy atomiser and replace your coil manually.

Another alternative is to stick with CE4s but buy in bulk from China for about a dollar each rather than pay 3 or 4.

4 weeks is a great life for a CE4.

I haven't really experienced anything better with Smoktech over Kanger, concerning heads and things. To me, the build quality seems exactly the same, but I haven't tried the full range of either brand. The Aro Tank recently performed just as poorly as a Protank II in one of my recent tests, concerning wicking. A lot of people seem to really love Innokin as equally if not moreso than Kanger, though their main issue seems to be factory residue in tanks rather than burnt hits as many experience with Kanger. With batteries in this brand range, Innokin seems to randomly have a dud every now and then, and that their batteries do randomly have defects, but the people who get an Innokin battery that works really tend to love them. I've personally had defects with eGo and Spinner batteries, so I'm not sure the reputation on those are too good - I already wish that I had an Innokin brand or better for ohm checking and things like that.

I've also had really bad luck with trying "out of the blue" brands like Eigate (Aspire). As the industry is right now, I couldn't tell you one brand that specifically had a truly better reputation over the other. For me, it really seems more like that vaping equipment is very hard to manufacture, and that more precise controls simply need to be applied to justify the price of the equipment. Or if they want to truly apply better controls and raise the prices, I don't think anyone would care. It's a hard hobby to get into and I've had very bad luck with it.

Only have owned one Smoktech mod. Well, actually two. My Smoktech VV Gripper lasted 7 weeks when the three front buttons collapsed into the body of the mod. Luckily it came with an 8 week warranty and Mad Vapes sent me a new one.

It's too bad Smoktech didn't make these mods more durable, as it would have been a much better choice. I love the form factor and its a very decent performer, but that body is so cheap its sick. It's left the overall impression of the company as a second tier manufacturer.

Innokin's quality is no better. Many of these Chinese companies just take too many shortcuts. I think their own people are used to it and figure that is just the way it is. They are learning but it is a very long learning process. I do tend to think the Kangertech products are better than many out there as far as quality, but plenty will disagree with me.

In my opinion, the only honestly good things they've put out are cartos (I'm partial to Smok, forgive me) and their pyrex/aluminum tanks. Their mods... eh.... Not so good. The Natural works better if sanded to their copper contacts, and I've seen a little bit of a turn-around with Magnetos.

I disagree with the above poster about Innoken's lack of quality. The SVD, 134, MVP v2, and VTR are machined pretty darn well, and their QC seems to be more Westernized than Smok and Joyetech. It seems like Innokin's actually listening to its customers.

Yep, I'm one of them. Innokin is IMHO, the top dog at the moment for innovation, design, and quality. The mods that they have released in the last year have been the best to come out of China in a long time. The MVP has been nothing short of revolutionary as far as being an affordable, pocketable, versatile, durable, as well as a pratical mod.

It does seem Innokin listens to their customers. All the little things that were wrong with the initial version of the MVP were corrected with version two.

IMO, the Innokin iClear 30 is the best clearomizer on the market.

If you want disposables, you can get them at Fasttech for about 1.75 a pop, like Ref was saying.

Otherwise pick up something made by Kanger, as I feel they are the best right now, and I think most would agree.
I definitely agree with that, but not just the tanks, get Kanger coils to, and you won't have any issues...less than 6 bux for 5 at DiscountVapers.
Has anyone seen a better price for genuine Kanger coils?

I have not seen a better price, and DV ships super fast too.
