Set up Hana V3 with Dual Coil On a Magma-Ohms flashing

Hello, hope everyone is well today. This morning I wrapped a 28 Ga at 8 wraps dual coil and came up with .8 ohms on my magma. The Ohms light was flashing for awhile on the Hana V3. I checked to make sure the posts were tight and bumped up the power to 15 wts, and it quit flashing. Does anyone know what caused it to flash? I just received the Hana yesterday from someone in the classified, so it is new to me but was sold as approx. two months old. I am presently recharging the battery this morning. Help is appreciated

I decided to open the Hana and replace the 2000 mah AW IMR 18650 that came with it, with a Sony VTC5 2600 mah.

When the resistance display flashes on the DNA30, it means that the combined wattage is too low for the chip to regulate wattage at the selected setting (as it falls below the minimum voltage specification of the DNA30). Not to worry - the chip will simply use the voltage of the battery instead but it won't be at the wattage you selected.

What you will need to do is increase the wattage until the Ohms display stops blinking, indicating that the voltage is now at/above the minimum specification for voltage and the Hana mod will now regulate power at the wattage you select.

That's probably a rubbish explanation but I'm sure you'll get what I'm trying to say.

Just some more information now I can double-check the dna 30 specs. The minimum voltage is 4V. Therefore, with a build of 0.8Ohms you'll need to set the wattage to around 20W (I think) for the DNA30 to be able to regulate the wattage. Otherwise around 3.7V will be supplied to the coil(s), depending on the change level of the battery (most go from around 4.1V or 4.2V on full charge all the way down to around 3.4V when running low).

There's a small discrepancy in the voltage supplied by an unregulated battery depending on age and actually, my grasp on the figures

Yep. You got the explanation.

I have been building my attys for my hana for 1.3 ohms or so with great results. I get a good range of adjustability and great vapor production with my magma this way.
