LOL. I can't figure out how to turn the nut to loosen in order to put new wire on... I was going to wrap it with 2-3 turns instead of 5.

The Kanthal wire is wrapped around the nail (post) between the nut and top washer.

Yeah the second and third pix look like threads, but the first shows the top of the nail head. Don't remove that nut!

while trying to unwrap the wire the wire broke and I lost it!...I cant get to it with out lowering the nut!

Lowering is fine, it is spring loaded to pinch the kanthal against the terminal. That is how it is supposed to work. If that wire broke, sounds like you will be winding a new coil, you have more wire?

Yeah, I got some tweezers and got hold of it, removed coil and put another on. then while burning in the new coil it popped and broke... so I had to put another on... now at 2.4ogm at 3.7-3.2v working pretty good. I think I am going to sell my GGT and buy a saber touch. then the ohms won't matter, I can just dial it in and it had a passthru.

Whats the general idea for getting a 400 mesh wick to wick better? Should I try a wider cut so I have more material in the wick, or do I want less? Do I use a thicker wire when putting in the pre-bend, or thinner? etc etc

I'm currently using 80/20 juice. I've had one wick that I couldn't get to run dry unless I tried, now this new one just sucks. Would like to get an idea of what I'm looking for before I waste a bunch of material.

I tried my other PT, it is metering at 4.9v It isn't much better. 8.5 watts

Are you actually measuring loaded, vaping volts with the atty?

I was wondering if someone could tell me if they get large amounts of liquid pooling in the upper tube. . about every 15-20 drags I take I get about 3/4 cc of fluid, I keep having to suck it out with a syringe. I have less than 1/2 tank and am holding @45deg or lower. any ideas?

It is 3.5v under load measured at nail posts, with freshly charged ultra fire BRC 18650 3600mah batt.
