crap, i wish i had the money for this

please donate to the UKVF (united kegger vaping fund), because poorly utilized e-juice is a terrible thing to waste

Maxi Roughstack 5 Volt Kit

Having had 2 RS I gotta chime in...loved them BUT they do have a bad switch location and the switches themselves are a bit suspect. A new switch is somewhat cheap and easy to replace. I wouldn't steer you from a RS but for a few $ more I think there are better/more hassle free units out there.

That is good deal.

Maybe I get too wrapped up in numbers and math, but I see the 2.5amp limit on it, everything is bumping to 5amps. Im also confused, running the numbers of Hawk's set-up, he's running 20 watts... is that possible?

what resistance carto you run on your LT and what voltage?

Oohh....20 watts:blink:...if only it were possible..lol
Nope...6x6 divided by 3.4=Just over 10 watts. That # will fluctuate from carto to carto as that ohm rating that's stated varies.

In all honesty, it is a small amp limit. However, if you run a 3 ohm carto at 6v, that is still 12 watts at 2 amps. 2 ohm carto at 5v is 12.5 watts at 2.5 amps..you get the idea..If he is running DCCs, it doesn't actually add up to 20 watts..each coil is at 3 ohms, in parallel the cumulative resistance is rated at 1.5, because the power is split up between two coils. For a DCC the formula is W=V*2/R*2 or R+R. So at 6v, running a 1.5Ohm DCC it's 36/3=12 watts. You can easily achieve that with a VTube (LT). I run tobaccos, coffee, nutty liquids in a 2.5 or 3 ohm carto at anywhere from 5.4-6v and I think it is great. I will throw a fruit/sweet liquid in a 2 ohm carto and run it at anywhere between 3.9-4.5v. So don't let the 2.5 amp limit fool you..even though it is "overly safe" compared to what is out there, if you use it correctly you can still achieve a great vape.

Couldn't have wait it better myself....ah hell who am I kidding...I couldn't have said that at all...lol.
People get all wrapped up in ohms and volts and completely disregard the wattage...and wattage is where the magic happens.
Very simple formula..volts x volts divided by ohms = watts. After a bit you can just eyeball a set-up and have a ballpark wattage in a blink.

Ah, grasshopper, you have enlightened me, so much you learn from you ECF Ultra Members

so, next question, I see that kit comes with at 18650 at 1600mah, its there anything preventing me from buying a 2000, 2600 or even 3000mah?

looks like Hawk fell asleep in front of the TV again, or he's across the street partying with his neighbors

18650=18650 all the time....mah just tells you how long the bat will last....more mah means longer run time.
Unless you're talking about a quality battery (say an AW) you might want to take the stated mah rating with a grain of salt.
I found that out and that is why I will never buy a trustfire or ultrafire battery again. AW batts might cost a bit more but are well worth it.

I know pitt referenced a Panasonic(link didn't work for me) and I had just skimmed a review of a panasonic batt.
I need to go back and find that review and give it a full read.

Do you have that batt. Pitt?

Lol, it was probably F-Troop that did him in tonight..if he was still up he would have stopped by to call us .......s or shake his cane at us, at least.

1600 mah is really more than enough..that's 15-16 hours of use..but as long as the batteries are high drain (IMR) and flat top (nipple top will work, but the bottom cap won't sit completely flush with the unit), any mah will be fine. That only designates the amount of time to deplete the cells. They standardize the 1600 because of safety, but I have a pair of 1600, a pair of 3000 and a pair of what I will unveil in a moment. In all reality the AW IMR bats are highly recommended..but there is one battery that kills the (now) former battery champ..Enter the Panasonic CGR18650CH Panasonic CGR18650CH. These are bad ..., and at 2250 mah, it's more than enough to run you a couple of days.

T-troop was quality tv. Larry storch was a comedic genius....enough said.

Before I forget..........s...and yep, back to cane shaking cuz some punk stole my walker..lol.

(i didn't look that old did I keg? I was wearing an angry bird shirt and of course I've always been sporting underoos)

Oh, I almost forgot..when you are running dual coils, you end up getting twice the nic as a SCC..there is some food for thought about how nutso Hawk is, lol.

Really? I've never heard that but....? I would think nic level is nic level is nic level, but that's me...what do I know. I'm always awed when the guy saws the lady in half and then HE PUTS HER BACK TOGETHER!.weird stuff.

And you couldn't stop in Burwell, sheesh. Love tanking.

It could have been me, I've definitely done worse.

Had to get out of Dodge for the weekend so we took off with some friends to a cabin in Ericson, NE. After floating down the Cedar River in a raft and stumbling around in a haze for a few days, I feel refreshed. Now I'm all primed up for a pool party, burning dead critters, and exploding stuff on Christmas, er I mean Independence Day. My boss won't be happy with me Thursday.

I'm glad someone came along to listen to Hawk, he was probably getting lonely.

Rather than quoting everything hawk followed up on, I will just say the following.

I won't be buying the roughstack, its a one day sale. Hawk you don't look THAT old, but you know us, once we lock onto a joke, we can never let it go, and thinking about the nic intake with dcc's, if you put 3 ml of 36mg in a carto, that's what you get out of it, with a dcc it just takes you half the time to do it

Morning all, and welcome back sparrots.

I will say that if you get the TF/UF flame jacket batteries, they are solid. I have a pair of those (3000 mah) that I use in my Bolt and they tested out pretty close to specs. So Flame Jackets are the only solid thing to come from those manufacturers (rebranders). I will have those Panny batteries this week..all I know is that they were put up against the best AW bats (and others, but for sake) and they dominated them.

I enjoyed the show myself, mind you, I could only watch reruns..Still don't know how it only went 2 seasons, but I guess those were the times.

Yeah..twice the heat is delivered to the coils, assuming it is being supplied proper power. Everything is burning quicker (double) and nic is reactant with heat. Badda boom, badda bing!

Okay..back to the 2x nic intake on a dualie...I can kinda see that...2 coils heating up twice as much surface area yadda yadda...
But if I'm taking a 3 second draw on a dual as opposed to a 6 second draw on a standard it seems like a push unless there's a factor I'm not thinking about.

The other factor is..you are thinking a little too much into it, I think. Yes, it would deliver approximately the same amount of nic, in half the time, from a SC. However, the end result is still the same..you would double (again, an approximate) the nic intake compared to the SC..

He did seem to be muttering to himself again..

Good point with the DCC.
