Well that stinks.

Well the next time you are in town, if you got time and want to test drive a vv gripper, Sam has them in stock

Yeah, I got word about that earlier. I need to get a hold of him again, too. He keeps trying to get in contact with me and I mean to call him back, but I end up forgetting, lol.

Pitt's my hero....thanks man for doing that.
Looked at one...one screw is only half screwed in and at an very unsettling angle.
Hope its not crossthreaded. I'll deal with it...may be ok anyway.

Check to also see if the post underneath the 510 threading is tilted. If so, just re-align it. If not, just unscrew it and get er back in there. I almost want a pic of it..

No worries, man, Just glad everybody showed up today and not tomorrow. I am keeping my eyes open to more co-ops that might interest you guys, as well.

Well...neither one fired right off the bat. Thought the center pin wasn't making contact but it was.
The post with the goofy screw spins freely so when I try to tighten that screw it spins and wants to curl the wick around it.
Pulled wick out, removed coil and rewound with my 34 nichrome. Working...yea...not stellar but yea.
I think a rebuild on the other and hopefully pushing the post back in will fix that one.

Decent vapor and th, but the flavor is crisp and clear. I think with a little practice and a bit of fiddling with the air hole alignment and other tweaks that this will be awesome. Need to get new batts for the mm and get this cranked to big boy voltage.

An observation and a discovery.
The pics and vids make these appear larger than they are...much larger. The parts and working area are very tiny.
I discovered that I need a freestanding magnifying apparatus to do this properly.

1 of the 4 drip tips i have fit perfectly but it doesn't take much to ream the hole out to make the others fit.

It looks nice perched on the bullet.

I actually checked out one of those lit, free-hand magnifiers and there are a couple at Harbor Freight for cheap. Still can't wait to get my mesh and track down some 34 awg kanthal so I can grab both the 34 and the 32. I can get a crap load of 32 and still get 2.4-2.6 ohms, but that's with 5, 6 or 7 coils. Wouldn't mind keeping it to 4 or 5. If I can get this thing to slam home like a gennie, I am going to do some DID purchasing in the near future..
