So, I got a chance to visit Sam last night and check out the VV Gripper.

Looks on videos are decieving. This device is not that much bigger than my VV box mod. The seam on the top that runs thru the 510 connection is tight and not much of a concern after looking at it. The battery compartment is a snug fit, and there are some 18650's that will not fit. But the flip lid for the battery fits tight, but is simple to open.

The display it bright white led on black backround. Ohm readings are accurate, and tells you how much power is left in the battery, and adjusts very easily.

The PWM, is more noticable with single coil cartos than dual coil, my best guess is 3.7 on the Gripper is more like 4.2 on the VV box using 2.4ohm single coil. But as you use higher voltages, the descrepancy seems to become less, because at 4.2 on the gripper, its was close to 4.5 on the VV box. Also at lower voltages, I did not sense any heat coming from the device, like I would on my VV Box.

Overall, its a solid device.

Yeah, I watched the review and am back "on the fence" about it. Still haven't been swayed more on the pro side of things, but maybe they will redesign the body of it soon and switch it to DC, lol.

I believe PWM is here to stay, I think even the new versions of the LT have pwm.
