My pg is good enough for me and I can get a quart(which would last me a looping time) of vg darn cheap sooo...

The vg/apricot is good...well for me. My coworkers found it harsh but i guess the point of diy is to find something YOU like. I'm already at the point where I can't see dropping big $$$ for some juice that ends up underwhelming me.

Personal ? Or 2 if that's ok Pitt. Just so we can bond a little tighter..lol. what is it you do to trick someone into giving you $$ so you can buy stuff and pay bills? I'm assuming I've got a few years on you...you old enough to drive, look at hooty mags, order a beer? Lol.

I'm 51( but I carry it soooo well). Problem is I still have the mind of 20 year old. Wife is still waiting for me to grow up...jokes on her lol.
I work in the trade show industry...I work for an exhibit/graphic company. If you have ever been to a trade show you might get it...if not it's kinda hard to explain. 20+ years of marriage and wife still was foggy on what I do, then i took my daughter on a show with me a year or so and she kinda filled in the gaps for her.

That's nutshell me. If my asking is to personal I understand...just curious.

Well here, ya sweet talked me into a short bio, lol..My name is Chad and I am turning 30 in August. My SO (Jen) and I have been in the Developmental Disabilities/HHS field for about 13 years and have worked for maaaany companies around Lincoln. We currently work at home with an individual and, for the money, it isn't a bad deal at all. Beats working crazy hours and always being on our toes with everything. We are also getting married in March of next year, which for me is a damn miracle. Not that I'm not a catch (lets not go that route) but I have always been an independent guy with a short attention span for one woman, lol. Let's see..Mother passed away in '05 and my dad moved down to KS when his company sold out here and has been down there since '04. As far as the exhibit/graphic company goes..you're in luck! My dad has been doing technical publications/design, exhibits, demos and the like for some time AND Jen's folks actually have their own company (Vision Exhibits) here in Lincoln and they do trade show exhibits/graphic design. I think I saw in one of the other posts around here, that you did something like that and I kept forgetting to ask you about it..well now I know! And fwiw..I had you pegged at mid to late 40s..So you have that going for you! Well, there ya have it I suppose, lol.

Hi Chad...I'm Tim.

Congrats on the upcoming nuptials, and I'm very jealous of the work from home thing..I hate the commute.
Vision exhibits sounds familiar. I'm sure our paths have crossed somewhere. I work for Renze display. I'm an exhibit mgr...meaning I'm a lackey.our clients have exhibits that we produce/manage. They range from small pop-up displays to large custom built displays. I work mainly with the larger displays. Some of the larger booths can be 100' x 100' and can take a week to install at a show. I travel quite a bit for supervision on the larger ones but not nearly as much as I use to. Typically I will be the only person from our shop and we use local I & D (installation and dismantle) companies for labor. I handle getting the booth set, then our client shows up a day or 2 prior to show opening to do their thing. Some of our bigger clients are Conagra(our bread and butter client), Wells Fargo, Firestone and quite a few you have probably never heard of. I use to do this for a company in Georgia and what we did there makes what I do now look like child's play. Use to do an IBM booth that was 45,000 sq. Ft....and would take about 2 long weeks to install with a 20 man labor call.

Been doing this for 20+ years....pays most of the bills. My wife is a teacher so I have to keep working because they don't get paid squat, especially here. My wife and i both took about a 35% paycut when we moved back here about 10th years ago. Sometimes I think we should have stayed in Georgia but..oh well. Here we are.

There you go. I would say that you and I are about as bonded now as my brother and I are. Welcome to the family.lol..

*HUGS* haha ok *firm, manly hand shake*. Well it's good to "meet" you Tim!

The work at home thing, at first, was horrible for me. I have been working since 12 (doing stupid detassling) and from 14 yrs old on, working where I could. So it was pretty boring and I got antsy for a while. But now, I don't know if I would adjust to a 9-5 type thing. I keep plenty busy and all, but we march to the beat of our own drum and all the crap I've put up with in the field, I feel like I kinda deserve it. Renze is pretty big time, if I understand correctly. What made you guys go back and forth from NE to GA?

Boy, you guys are a riot!

Only butting in here because it was mentioned that you wanted more Nebraskans to chime in. I've met both of you in the New Members forum.

I stumbled across this forum once before but forgot all about it. I'll subscribe to this thread since it sounds like there will be at least one post per day. Should make it much easier to remember to check in. I'll try to help keep the streak going too, but can't promise much on weekends.

I'm pretty new to vaping and all that diy stuff scares me to death.....so far. But it does sound very intriguing.

I know it's come up before about a meet up. I've mentioned it a few times to Sam at myplumes.com and he hinted at a willingness to host something. He's kind of new in the business and looking to network some. The thought so far is some time in June if there's enough interest. Any interest in that? And maybe showing off some of your handcrafted juices? :)

Anyway, I look forward to seeing this forum get a little busier. I'll mention it to those I know who vape and actually know how to use a computer.

Cheers! :toast:

Haha yeah..VZ, litecig and the VG and PG will be here this afternoon..Tomorrow the ECX, AVE, MEL and the nic test kit pakcages will be here. Won't get the bulk syringes until Tuesday, but will have enough to hold me over. I got 100 3ml syringes with needle for $12, figuring I could use them exclusively for the nic. Won't be here much on Saturday, so that limits my play time.

Well I remember you and it's good to have you over here contributing!

I have heard a lot of people say that DIY scares them, always wondered why that is..

As far as a meet up goes, I don't want to speak for everybody, okay, the other person, but that would be great. Don't see anything wrong with June, would just depend on day and time obviously.

Look forward to having more NE peeps involved over here, I know there are many around the forum, just not in here. I guess Tim and I are too much for them to handle!

***Pitt...sit up straight and for the love of god, wipe your chin....we have company***lol..

Looking forward to first impressions when your bounty arrives.

@tar:....Hawkeye fan right tar.

Sorry! I'm not used to people dropping by, haven't left my skivvies in over a week! Need more warning next time, please!

Oh yeah..After I get back from the stadium tonight, I am going to mix up what tobacco flavours I get today so I can guage what is going to work well with them! I will post my initial findings here and then probably join in on the convo in the VZ super concentrate thread.

If Tarfree is a damn hawkeye fan, I'm gonna throw myself off of a railroad overpass and hope a train chugs on through to put me out of my misery..lol

go hawkeyes
