Hello all, been vaping for one month here in omaha, been trying to find other vapers in the area. Nice to meet you all and look forward to sharing experiences.

My Hardware: Smokeless Image Volt
Favorite Juices to date: Blue Mist Banana Foster, Blue Mist Apricot Blossom (a test sample), and Juicy Vapor Maxiboro.

Wheels have been spinning in my head about forming a vaping club in the area, what does everyone else think of the idea.

Welcome, Kegger..it's good to have you joining us!

Ya know, I have always been against using the mini lookalikes, but do want a volt kit for some reason. I hear they are good little e-cigs. So you enjoy BlueMist some, eh?

I think it is a good idea to get fellow vapers together and share knowledge and a few drinks!

Hope you stick around, and regardless of what anybody says, I don't scare people away from here..to my knowledge anyway!

Glad you came back tar...was afraid pitt scared you off also...he scared another member clear over to a different forum..lol

I just caught that. I did not scare Sparrots away from ECF in it's entirety! Although the comments about women's deodorant and boy shorts didn't help, I'm sure..there were larger forces at hand!

Well Pitt, I dont know if enjoy blue mist, its ones i like from them. I have only ordered from Blue Mist and Juicy Vapor to date, I cant say there have been any I cant live without at this point.

As for the Volts, they are a good starter vape i believe, but they cant handle the VG juices without thinning with some vodka. and I would have to say, dealt with some quality issues. Bad batts, bad wall charger, DOA cartos. They do tho stand behind there product, and provide outstanding customer service.

I believe I want to step up to a KGO or a simple VV mod. The Volts are good when the batts have a fresh charge, but although they are supposed to be a 5v regulated to 3.7 and be consistant voltage from beginning to end, I do not find this to be the case, about half way thru the battery life, I can find a considerable difference in the quality of the vape.

That's too bad, I really haven't heard many negatives about them outside of battery life. Have you tried the X2 from SI? Heard a lot of raves towards them. Well I can tell you I have a pair of KGOs and a LT and I really enjoy them both, for different reasons obviously. Looking forward to a couple of other PVs, but these are holding their own nicely!

No, i have not tried the X2's, but they are also under consideration. I am thinking more KGO tho for the fact they are 510 connections, and have a lil more flexibility. Plus also looking at an Atty set up for dripping new juices rather than wasting cartos.

My biggest issue so far is burning fresh cartos. Ive tried every method of filling, drip from the top, condom method from threads, condom method from the mouth end, and many times i am getting burnt flavor almost instantly.....and dont underfill.

How long are allowing the liquid to soak in before using and what cartos are you using? I personally don't screw around with the condom fill method, and only drip fill if I don't have a syringe handy or to top off..

I usually fill a carto before i go to bed and dont use it until the morning. I am using the cartos that SI sells, which from my understanding are kangor 808 horizontal coils.

In deconstructing these cartos, they have what seems to be a nylon or silica tube that runs the length of the air hole, and the wick that runs thru the coil barely reaches the polyfill.

I haven't used the Kanger cartos, but there are many people out there that say nothing but good things about them. Maybe you got a bad batch? I prefer my Boge and resurrector cartos, but have been wanting to try some Kanger bottom coil 510s. You might try pulling the filler and adjusting the wick. Heard that they can be rebuilt to an extent using Fluval as a replacement filler and different wicks, so I'd imagine the filler coming out somewhat easily. Don't remember exactly the wicks that are typically used, but would see that as being ideal when the cartos are cheap as it is.

Bad Batch, probably not, it has been 2 separate orders of 15 cartos, rebuilding is next to impossible actually as the tube running up and down the middle is glued down to the base of the carto, and has to be removed to expose the coil. Who knows, I may expect to much out of them.

Issues like mine are a grand reason for a vape club or vape meet. One persons experience is only as good as whom it is shared with. All in favor of the Linoma Vaping Society, say AYE

it mearly depends on the little bit of the wick that extends from the out of the tube to transport liquid to the coil, it is the wick that burns, you can fire a bone dry carto, and the only thing that burns is the wick, the poly does not burn. Its hard to explain without visual aids. and although i like to analyze and study things like this, creating visuals is not my strong suit.

Boge and ST have the tube that goes through to the threads as well..Hmm, I would suggest trying some Boge cartos, pretty sure that they come in an 808. I am just glad that I have not run into any issues like some that I have read. Only have had 1 carto DOA, haven't fried a carto and still have a handful from the first few boxes that I purchased.

Yeah I know TarFree was speaking of a vape meet in June, possibly, if enough are interested in attending. I believe we are all game so far, providing we can all work out a date and time that works for everybody. Forums like this are great for general guidance and information, but until you get hands on (at least for me) it can be daunting. I'll check around for a bit before I hit the sack and see if I can find anybody else having issues with those cartos like you are describing.

Well dont break your neck searching, as I said, I may be expecting too much from these things, I do know the longer I let a new carto sit after filling it, the better it is. And, I experience it more with VG juices (which i perfer), than with blends. That lower voltage, and a higher resistance carto may just not be able to take the juice I am using.

At high VG the HCs may work best at 3.8-4.2 volts, else, the only thing I can see is that if you take a few pulls in succession you may need to give it a little bit to wick back down to the coil before taking another pull. Otherwise it could be causing the burning flavour you are describing. As with an atty/tank setup such as the eGo-T/C, maybe a couple primer draws every so often, to help pull the thicker fluid down to the coil, might help.

Well good luck with those Kangers and I will let you know if I decide to pick some up soon. I'm off to bed now, but I'm always around on here. Hope to catch you around!

Hi kegger...good to meet you. Glad you made it.
I've done a bit of Bluemist. On the whole not my favorite...some funky underlying flavor, but did really like the robacco and carmel robacco. Can't beat the price for 180ml if you find one you really like.

Sorry to hear the sad carto tale. Guess I've been lucky...I've been using smoktek mega xl dualies for about a year now and have only had a few that haven't performed well. Usually get at least a week out of one but normally 10-12 and have had one go 21 days(didn't taste real good the last 4 or 5 but was still kicking it). I had a vendor tell me once to make sure to get 3 drops or so down the center tube to lube and prime them. I always do my initial fill til it overflows and runs out the batt. end. Never had a burnt taste right off the bat. Just reading your posts I'm leaning towards the problem being with the type/brand you have, but having never used those that's just my 2 pennies.

A meet up would be great especially for issues like your having with your cartos. Swap a carto with someone and see if they have the same problem. Didn't catch what ohm those were or what voltage your doing.

What part of the big O do you live in. I'm in papillion.

***Pitt...pssst..Pitt. dude. We need to pick up around here. That's 2 guests in one day and look at this place. It's borderline embarrassing. And yeah..put some pants on. I've been wanting to tell you that for a while now.***

Done! I took care of the cobwebs, vacuumed, dusted and took out the garbage..still don't know if I want to put pants on though. What can I say, I enjoy the draft!

So did you put in an order to VZ yet? Man, I get 5 whole packages today, I'm stoked! I will get to play with some liquids this evening and hopefully be able to get some ready for nic!

Ah...looks so much better..lol. can you do something about that smell. Never mind. Think that might be me.
Good guests wouldn't come empty handed...maybe a six pack or 2...or 3.
Maybe a pair of shorts...show off those chicken legs a bit.

Going to do a short vz order today. 555, vfc, b&m, French pipe, blackberry and.blueberry. a few bottles. Spit in the ocean compared to your order. Smell and tell after they arrive. Can't wait to hear your thoughts.
