Wife is in Lincoln for the night (i have to work tomorrow). Apparently the shower head needed a little vacation...she took it with her. Man..that is one clean lady. Her hygiene ethic is stellar...lol...

Ok...driving home..thinking...
So far my diy has been relegated to trying to find the right ratios in standalone flavors. I purposely have done this so I don't end up with a tanker full of meh juice...and yet I've quickly have ended up with 100ml or so of my own madness.

But any way...was wondering ...I often take 2 or 3 standalones and mix them up. So to keep this simple...let's say I take standalone"a" and mix it 50/50 (base formula is constant) with standalone "b"...and I'm so blown away by it that I want to mix this combo in a large quantity.

In theory...I can math it up pretty simple and it should be identical, but something tells me it may be an entirely different animal. I can cook "a" and "b" and combine them on my plate and love it...but combining them in the same pan during cooking can cause the finished product to be completely different.

Do you think the same may hold true for diy??

There you go Kegger...that's got Geekdom up the ying-yang for you....lol..

Side note:...anyone have/fan of palladia?....my wife hates it but I watch that channel constantly. When I'm cleaning/cooking..whatever that doesn't require visual and want some good tunes...going to crank Shinedown for about the 10th time in an hour or 2.

Well to start off..dunno about Palladia (know what it is but don't think I have it) but Shinedown...get outta here! One of my favorite bands, hands down.

Ok, now to business..What I have done is mix standalone flavors to where they need to be and then figure out what my base is going to be and what my complimentary flavors will be. Treat them as you would a stew, soup or what have you. They may taste great together, on their own, but if cooked in the same pot..they may taste like dookie. Can't say that it would hold true for all flavors..but some just don't play nice. However, like cooking, what works well together and why..what notes make a dish great as opposed to edible..

There are those complementary flavors that will work great (a tobacco and almost any fruit flavor) as long as there is a proper ratio. I don't want a tobacco (say dunhill, which is sweet and smooth) with a "musky" fruit or something like pineapple, which can come off as too sweet or even tart with that combo. A simple cherry, peach, etc. would walk hand and hand nicely with it though. One of my fav "designer" liquids is what seems to be a nutty and grassy tobacco (probably TA and AP) with pineapple..two different angles there..tobacco is "manly", defined and rough with that sweet overture that just smooths out. Balance is the key, just as it is with some of your favorite dishes..I can mix meat with about anything and to me It's great..but mix whatever kind of meat and cut with the right sides and you have yourself a whole new ballgame.

When I sober up some, I'll reread this and add to what I missed and retract what I added that doesn't make sense!

Damn dude..when I sober up...lol...just messing with you midget/donkey boy...sorry.
Dude...I'm just trying to mix some .... I can vape....your splitting atoms...lol...that's cool ...I'm going to ride your coat-tails into infamy.

Alright pitt...all kidding aside I'm committed to my my slurries. I'm trying to go slow because I've already seen how quickly this little endeavoure
Can end up with a ....-load of liquid that just sneaks up on you. I need to establish a flavor baseline and go from there.

Having said that..i really appreciate all the knowledge you put out here on this subject. The additives that you brought up yesterday...1 or 2 I had seen before, but you brought up a handful that were very intriqing.

Thanks for the dk tab info....for some reason I just love the cheap chinese dk tab.

On to other business...will you rent put your tiny donkey by the hour...or do I have to commit to ,like, a day.or whatever?

Oh ...HELL YEAH...shinedown...good stuff...

Years ago I walked into a dive bar in jacksonville Fla. They had a band there that was just surreal...I firmly believe it was what is now known as shinedown. The peripheral players may be different...but the singer ...he is one of a kind.

I also saw the Dave Matthews band in Chicago once under an assumed name...they were advertising.g the xyz band and it wad actually the d.m. band. I'm so cool I can't stand it....until kegger shows up and "geeks"me...lol...

Lol, fair enough..sorry for the painstaking, romp through my own head that I took there. In a nut shell though, yeah..from what I have read and through some trial and error of mine..standalones, take those and throw em with an equal proportion of mix 'b'..you like, make more..in larger quantities you may experience a slight differential, but should ring true for the most part. You don't like that much of 'b' in there..well decrease it..you have the right idea. I guess I was going on more of a "technical" tangent and steered clear of what you were throwing on the table, lol. Do you need the donkey before your wife comes back with the shower head? Gotta charge extra for such short notice..
