One Problem though is as we move Closer to the USPS/Fed-Ex/UPS drop dead dates, Online Retail Inventory is going to Severely Dry Up. If Online Retails Can't Ship Stuff, they aren't going to be Re-Ordering much from Distributors/OEM's.

And Out-of-Stock is going to be a Norm more than an Exception.

I'm already seeing this. Not in coils, as I haven't been shopping for them. As I go to shop for a specific item, a lot of shops are out of stock. Not yet so many that I can't find what I want, but I expect this to get worse as time goes by.

A small suggestion make sure to get spare glass and orings for the tanks you have if you can find the stuff. Extend the life of the tank a bit with insurance against dropping it or oring wear and tear.

I would also suggest some all metal dripping attys that you can find videos on how to build. There are things you need to learn to use rebuildables safely but you can learn all of that here on ECF. Rebuildables are the ultimate insurance policy with no premade coil necessary. There are rebuildable tanks as well.

Edit: I realize this might be way above what you are ready for but we are talking insurance policy here if you never need to use it that is fantastic. However, if it all goes wrong its good to have a backup.

Oh crap! The list just keeps growing!!! But again, thank you. I never once thought about some back up glass and o-rings!

Over did it? Maybe. But, I'm ready for the apocalypse and the inevitable backlash when businesses go under and local/state/federal tax revenue takes a nose dive. Sort of like Prohibition.

I don't think you over did! I would rather have too much stashed away, with some left in the closet if I quit vaping before I leave this world (I'm 58 now and I don't see myself vaping beyond 70. LOL!) What I do know is I am not near ready to give it up any time soon! I will continue to stock up......

It's "she". We are not rich by any means but I really don't have a choice but to keep stocking up. My husband has never smoked in his life nor vapes, but he knows how much I rely on vaping to relax me on hectic days and that I just plain enjoy it. He has seen me panic when I am away from home and ran short on juice or my batteries died. And he was THRILLED when I quit cigs so he is being supportive of this because he also doesn't want me falling back to cigs..

I have more stuff coming this week and then I am going to sort it all out and figure up what I have stocked in years. (Tanks, coils, mods...) With the approximate life expectancy I've heard of each I should be able to get a close guesstimate..Im sure I will need a bit more but I think it is getting close.

and I agree stock is running out. I saw it drop to "out of stock" almost daily last week on the sites I have been watching. Time is crucial right now unfortunately. Its been very costly but once I am done ordering within the next month, that will be about it for life!

And I can't thank ALL of you enough for all your patience and help. You're all rock stars!

You're Doing Fine. Because you have a Plan. And because you are taking an Inventory of what you have.

I helped someone with a Stock Up plan at the end of 2020. They were a Mess. Running around their house in a Panic with their Credit Card in their hand saying I need 10 More of this. Maybe I should get 3 or 4 of these? I need at least 2 Dozen 18650's. Is 20 lbs of Cotton enough?

    LOL

After they calmed down, We sat down and Listed EVERYTHING they had. Then made a Priority List of things to consider buying.

    NICOTINE
    Bottles for Nicotine
Backup RTA to one they have and like.
Backup RDA to one they have and like.
Backup Mod(s) to ones they have and like.
    Backup Mech (Just in case)
    Misc Replacement Glass/Drip Tips
    .
    .
    etc.

After we made the List of what they had, the List of what to consider Buying made much more sense. And things like 20lbs of Cotton became kinda Funny.

An Inventory List and a To Buy List also gives you something Tangible to Check Off. Kinda like when you go Camping. You're Not going to forget the Sunscreen or the extra Mantels for the Lantern if they are on the List.

Like I said, You're in Good Shape. And you still have some time.

I actually have around roughly 5lbs of cotton altogether because I got 4 big 102 ct. bags of Muji pads for $2/bag on clearance. I never tried Muji before I bought it and I'm glad that I think I actually like it more than KGD. I figured for that price if I didn't like it I could always use them for something else. :D

I started with Muji Pads. I've tried a few Different Types of Cotton. And I have Always gone back to Muji. Super Simple to Work With. And for what I do, Hits as good as other that are Not as simple to use.

BTW - When the 2016 Deadline was approaching, I figured I'd better have a Backup to the Bag of Muji Pads I was using. So I ordered one off Amazon. Then before it even arrived, I was doing another Amazon order and needed like $5.50 more to get Free Shipping. So I figured... What the Heck? I'll just get another Bag of Cotton and I should be OK for awhile. So I did.

Good thing I did. Because here is a Picture of that Bag I was working on when I order Two More...

    Muji_Cotton_2-1-21.jpg

I opened and Started using that 1st Bag of Muji Pads on 4-6-2015. So in just under 6 Years, I've gone thru 1/2 a Bag!

Sure Glad I have 2 More Bags as Backups.

It's more dense than KGD, a lot more dense. Took me a bit to understand how to use it. One pad last me a lot longer. (That's assuming what I have is real KDG, I'm 99% sure my Muji is authentic).

It seems from what I read on forums that most people don't really care for Muji. I guess that's why I got the deal I got

I've used Muji Pads so Long that I can Cut a Perfect Width Strip from Muscle Memory. And Practically De-Skin it with my Eyes Closed.

And Yeah... A Bag Does Last a Long Time. Like around 12 Years in My Case.

I've got 3/4 of a big bag of KGD pads left and about 20 pouchs of Cotton Bacon Prime (bought over time to fill out orders for free shipping). I figure I am well into lifetime supply of cotton. If worse comes to worse I can go old school with drugstore cotton so cotton is not on my list of worry about things.

The only things I bought recently were filling in gaps or just I wants not I needs. A pair of rebuildable tanks because I realistically felt RTAs were massively underrepresented in my stash. Another mech squonker kit because at $27 its a if either the squonker or the BFRDA hold up any length of time its a bargain. A few extra batteries because many of mine are aging and had hard use and the bargain was good.

In fact I probably could have called things done with my 5 REOs and an assortment of BFRBAs for them. I just sometimes prefer a tank setup at times.

But I had the advantage. I saw the writing on the wall back in 2013 and did my homework THEN. Learned to build. Learned to mix. Started a slow steady stockup. Sure I hit some rabbit holes along the way trying stuff that I ended up not liking. In 2019 I did a pretty big stockup because I could more than because I needed to. Even then I filled some big gaps in my 2016 stash.

For that matter being a spinner I know how(and having the tools) to turn drugstore cotton into nicely combed cotton roving which is basically what cotton bacon is. LOL

Oh I am all about lists!! I get lost within my own head doing circles if I don't have a list to follow and check off. :w00t:

So from day one I have been making, following, adding to, and checking off from 2 lists (Both what I have ordered but not received yet list, and what I need to buy list. which is constantly being added to!) Going to recheck everything this week when all my most recent orders arrive and make a new confirmed list of what I have in stock.

I highly doubt if there will ever be a problem buying Koh Gen Doh or Muji cotton pads. Both are beauty aids and readily available.

I love KGD. An added bonus: The price on Amazon used to be $19 for a 60 pc box. The price has dropped to $14.25.

I have never used Muji pads. There is a Muji store in Manhattan that sells a bag of 165 pieces for $2.90. Not sure if their B&M stores are going to survive Chapter 11 bankruptcy. They will still be running an online store.

So the "cosmetic" pads are pretty safe from banning.

One other thing: Am I the only one who does not like Cotton Bacon Prime. I find it very difficult to use, ends up with a lot of waste, and imparts a harsh taste to the juice. Maybe it's just me.

I love cotton Bacon Prime, I sometimes get a bit of a cotton taste from KGD. The Bacon stuff does have a bit of a learning curve on how much to peel off for your RTA though. It will be a moot point soon as Cotton Bacon will be impossible to get. It is already sold out most places I get stuff.

I too have been trying to get up to speed on new technology and to stock up on essentials.
never thought I'd have to do it this quick though. I 'graduated' from the Halo brand and that was good enough until replacements dried up and I learned of this upcoming ban... NOW I'm scrambling to find suitable, durable equipment to last for the next few years. I bought an original (cheap) Uwell Nunchaku to start, an Aegis boost pro with an adapter, still in boxes Vapresso swag ll, and aegis mini with the internal bat for stealth.
18650 bats and xtar vc4s charger.
I've learned that my preferred method is MTL and the zenith tanks I bought are right up my vaping alley.
I know the uwell is an older mod but it's very close to what I like...
Trebecka at 1.6 ohm Z coils at 14watts is good!
Much much thanks for the people on this site to help me along!

My question is how long do these zenith tanks last? do they have a life span?
do folks clean them out from time to time? do I need spare o-rings?

Orings and seals do wear out, specially ones that see a lot of friction, like slide-back topfill seals. That's one reason I stocked up on a lot of older RTAs that merely use regular orings and no proprietary seals (Taifun & Kayfun - clones of course). Orings can be bought anywhere. For other tanks that have proprietary seals, I bought extras. But it's not easy to find extra proprietary seals for all tanks.

    Glass breaks.

Metal can be damaged in various ways if you're particularly rough with your stuff. Threads can strip.

"My question is how long do these zenith tanks last? do they have a life span?":

First, I'm glad you're liking the Zeniths you contacted me about. They're my all-time favorite tanks, and I've had at least 2 of them (1 full-size + 1 D22 3mL one) in constant use and sometimes a 3rd one in use... since December of 2018. Based on their performance and durability so far...there will likely still be a gracious plenty of them, still new-in-the-box in my stash, after I'm long gone!

I've had absolutely no issues at all with any of them. The turn to fill top part is still working as smoothly as it always has, on all of them. None have had any issues at all with leaking (from the top fill hole, the base connection, nor the airflow holes). As far as needing replacement glass for them...their glass isn't replaceable. It's likely because that's not a concern, because of the design of the tank and the thickness of the glass. I've dropped or knocked over each of mine numerous times (on carpet, lineoleum flooring, asphalt, concrete, etc.) and none have ever chipped, cracked, nor broken. The metal housing protecting the glass does exactly what it's meant to do. In all those drops, I've gotten 1 very tiny ding in the top edge of the metal on 1 of them...which is barely visible to the naked eye. The threading on the connection of the base (the only place there IS any threading) is still perfect.

"do folks clean them out from time to time?":

The only time I take a Zenith apart, which means simply removing the base, the coil, and the drip tip from the top...is when I change to use a very different eliquid in 1 of them...than what was in it. Then I just run the tank, base part, and drip tip under some warm to hot running water, and dry them off. Each time I replace a coil, I just wipe out the bottom base, use a piece of twisted paper towel to clean out the chimney, and run a Q-tip through my drip tip. That's it!

    "do I need spare o-rings?":

There are no o-rings to replace on any of the 3 versions of the Zenith tanks themselves. The only visible o-rings...are 1 on the base of each coil and 2 small ones on the drip tip. Each replacement coil comes with an o-ring already on it, and I've never had any problems with the 2 small o-rings on my drip tips...despite how many times I've removed and replaced them from the tanks.

All in all...in my experience with them...they're by far THE most troublefree, easy to use, well-designed, and durable tanks I've ever had.

So I am pretty much done stocking up! Here is what I have:
I am currently using these both until gone:

    V4Life (for on the go)
8 batteries and 21 smilomizers (can be washed and reused once)

    Kanger Evod (Around home)
    8 batteries - 25 clearomizers – 64 coils (and have some CE4s if needed)
I estimate these two to take me 16-20 months

For later use after the above is gone:

-6 Aspire CF Mods (because they were dirt cheap!) (22mm)
5 Aspire Nautilus 2 tanks (22mm) and 19 5-packs nautilis BVC coils and with spare glass and o-rings
    8 Zenith D22 Tanks(22mm) (Z coils totaled below)

    -3 Aegis Solos
    6 Zenith tanks
    6 Zslide tanks

    38 5-packs z coils

    20210212_154652

I do still have to get a battery charger and I am considering one more mod that would use the same tanks and coils. Possibly a Kroma R ….just to change it up. And if I do get another mod I will probably throw in a few more Zcoils!

Then I am done, done, done!
