View attachment 864609 Two baby bunnies died today:( I got home from work and discovered them. me and my mom were so upset. One pink one Got buried under hay and smothered. I think the other grey one just looked thin and weak. I ran out to get milk but she died in my moms arms.

Bottle feeding the other two and they Are looking healthy. I feel so bad for not keeping them in the crib thing i made for them. The one was buried so far under hay I had to search them the other just looked like it wasn’t getting feed.

Keeping them with me and feeding them. Got some soft nesting fluff for them and gonna be their momma now.
When my bunny had kits she has 12 and 4 ended up dying. It's nothing you did. The one you found buried under the hay probably died before it was buried.
First time rabbit mommies sometimes aren't the best mommies. And sometimes there's just something wrong with the babies. Remember you have to feed them often. Maybe call a vet to find out how often. We got cat milk from the vet to feed one undersized baby and it still didn't make it. Just do your best. (((Hugs)))

Oy !
Even with a year long introduction process it would fail here...Louie is a single cat for sure.
(Not very happy with him about that too ! )
Alas, so is Catdog. Our vet and two techs each took her home before us for adoption test runs. No go each time :(. She doesn’t like other cats, or small dogs. Apparently, gigantic geriatric dogs are ok, or...she has him confused with a pony. Either way, she’s a lonely only kitty, which I suspect she prefers.

Mama probably buried the baby deliberately Ricky. Most likely the baby wasn't healthy. I know you mean well but Sassy is the best mother for the remaining two and her milk is much healthier for them.

I don’t think she’s feeding them very good though. I’ve been giving them kitten milk replacement. I’ll see if sassy can still nurse them. I just don’t want the last two to die

6 lbs is not a bad size for a cat.
high plains drifter is just a bit over 6 lbs n she managed to survive almost a year in the bush, feeding herself, before finding me..
she takes evil bunnies as big as she is by ambushing them.
her son cuddles is twice as big but the extra size does nothing since there isn't anything bigger to hunt.
he needs extra calories but really can't get them from bigger game.
so, 6lbs might be optimum for cats that live by hunting.

Does Stevie's sister have a name? If not you need to name her. She deserves her own name. She's beautiful! If I lived closer I'd adopt a few of the bunnies.
I just said the Same thing to someone today. She needs a name. Goldie is the baby Stevie had. I’ll come up with a name

Considering what changes Sassy has gone through it wouldn't be unusual to loose all of them. I have always firmly believed mother nature should be our guide in these situations. Do what you can, just don't force it.

What a sad situation. This is totally normal as others have pointed out, Ricky, so please understand it was nothing you did and likely nothing you could have prevented. In general you've been dealt quite the cards by this harsh, cruel world lately. You're a good and a strong man. Hang in there, and don't ever forget you've always got us at your back.

Well I’m gonna do my best. They are with her now so she can see them and see they are okay.

I’m Not just going to let them die without trying to give them a shot at life

Stevie Nicks had a good friend named Robin. Then of course there is always Christine McVie

When I say 'had" she actually died, Leukemia. Stevie and her husband stayed close and Stevie was a surrogate mommy to the child born before Robin passed.

Morning peeps and pets

Wanted to share this.

Yesterday I was watching The Irishman on my computer (great movie). Zelda was sprawled out on my desk in font of me, getting all kinds of belly rubs and head scratches. She fell into a deep sleep and then started dreaming, twitching, kicking and chirping. Was cute but I let her be. After about 10 minutes of this, she abruptly woken up, let out a frightening screech and stood there, dazed and all wobbly, like she was drunk. She acknowledged my presence, let out a little chirp, climbed onto my shoulder and buried her head into my neck and just started to purr. She would not move from this for a good 20 min. Was so adorable, like a child being comforted by a parent after a bad nightmare.

I finally said, “Want your dinner” – she jumped off and ran into the kitchen
