Hello

So after vaping now for 2 years I recently started developing shortness of breath, chest tightening, and headaches. I read through some of the information posted about allergies and nicotine levels, and through process of elimination found out that pg is what is causing it. I was just curious if anyone has had this problem? Also any 100% vg users that can recommend different companies to try. I was really in to nite lite vapor and am really going to miss it. Kinda bummed out.

I need recommendations for tank set up as well. I have been using a kayfun 4 and it's been hit and miss. It seems to like Johnson creek juice but tons of dry hits with heathers heavenly vapes

Thanks

So, did a Doctor Verify you are allergic to PG or is this another self diagnosis?
Has your Vaping increased - Amount used in a Day - Equipment upgrades - Hours vaping

I would venture to say 50% or more of Vapors allergic to PG...................aren't. ;)

Tight Chest and Headache can both be attributed to over vaping - to much nic.

I have a sensitivity to PG anything over a 20% in the mix, if I vape (nothing else changing) I wheeze..so I stick to the "max VG" which is an 80/20 blend (as the flavoring is in the pg)..I order from Vista Vapors moslty.

you'll find that 100% VG is a serious coil gunker..they're thick thick..I've been able to do the "max vg" version and have no difficulties

I use High Dessert Vapes, ITC, Alice in Vapeland, and Vaping Rabbit (although I'm mad at them..they're always OUT on their webpage and the B&M's so I'm moving on from them) but "max vg"

one of the gals at the vape shop ordered her 100% VG from Up in Vape (or something like that with good results)

some genuinely have a vg allergy..good luck.

PG can dry you out. It can also coat the lungs if you inhale too much. You will get nic from just holding the vapor in your mouth and then blowing it out. You can also hold it in the mouth and exhale through the sinuses without inhaling into the lungs.

If I vape high VG juice I get that feeling in my lungs, like it's coating the interior and preventing gas exchange. 80pg/20vg doesn't cause that so much. I try to NOT inhale most of the time and that helps tremendously. Many of us smoked for so many years that we have affected our lungs to some extent, anyway.

I had a lung X-ray back during Christmas just to rule out pneumonia from some kind of respiratory thing that was going around. It was normal after 40 years of smoking. I quit and switched to vaping 5 years ago. I thought it was refreshing to discover that my lungs survived all that without defects that would show on an X-ray.

The EPA has a time limit for exposure to PG/VG fog for stage workers, film workers, and those who are exposed at work to the fog. It does have an irritant effect if you get too much. That's one reason I'm against cloud blowing sub ohm vaping. I just don't think it's good in the long term to lung inhale huge amounts of vapor.

The point of vaping is to get away from burning tobacco. The less you inhale vapor the better off you are. Get the nic through your mucous membranes in the mouth and sinuses.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I did "self diagnose" but regardless the switch to 100% vg did fix the feeling of shortness of breath. I just tried a pg/vg mix (65/35) and instantly couldn't catch my breath. It's weird. So I'm sticking with the 100% vg I'll look into some of the companies you guys suggested.

If you haven't had blood work lately, you really should go and see your doctor. Something as simple as low hemoglobin can cause shortness of breath. A diet that includes leafy green veggies, beets, and sweet potatoes along with B-12 and Vitamin C to help with absorption can boost your iron and your hemoglobin. I'm not a doctor, BTW. I'm just passing on information I've read and experienced. See your doctor to find out if it's something as simple as that. You might also be experiencing mild asthmatic symptoms or it could be some sort of allergy. Summer brings on those kinds of things.

If I vape high VG juices for while I will usually experience a slight feeling of shortness of breath at some point. 80pg/20vg fixes that for me. I guess we are all a little different.
