Something my doctor told me on one of my previous "quits"... I have asthma and had noticed a month or so, maybe 6 weeks, after I quit smoking, my asthma was a LOT worse than it had been when I was smoking (this was several years ago, WAY before ever vaping). She told me that because of all the tar and crap that are in the tobacco cigs, the cilia in the lungs were all gunked up and basically kinda lying down while I was smoking. Once I stopped, they started working their way free again... And in that process, all the tar and gunk was breaking loose, making my breathing condition temporarily worse. I'm not a doctor, of course, so I can't say this is the same thing you're experiencing, just saying that it's a possibility. And it DOES get better, but it takes time, of course. And, obviously, having just recovered from pneumonia may play into it as well.

A couple of my friends told me more or less the same thing. I did start coughing up some very, very thick phlegm about two weeks ago.
I'm determined to stick with the vaping, though - I just ordered a bottle of 100%pg and an 80/20 mix (I didn't see an option for 100%vg) of the same flavor from Vapor Bomb, as swedishfish suggested.

I really hope it works out for you! If you write a note in the comments for VB they'll pretty much do anything for you. They also send you a nice big sample!

I read on ECF that most of the nicotine in the vape is absorbed in the mouth, not the lungs. Since my lungs are somewhat fried, I try to hold the vapor in my mouth and not draw in to the lungs. It is NOT easy! But it seems to work and satisfying enough if I do it 9 out of 10 times.

Yes, you can get 100% PG or 100% VG flavors. I prefer the VG but it seems to collect in my lungs (hence the not inhaling deep).

I second the idea of trying different flavors, or you can get Unflavored - not as much fun but leaves out one possible source of irritation.

Hmm - the VG seems to collect in your lungs, you say? What makes you prefer it - the flavor? The texture of the vapor?

I did mention it in the 'comments' in my order lol. I've noticed already that, with all the competition for your business out there, it seems that a lot of these companies go out of their way to provide good customer service.

I know when I was quitting (a few times) my lungs felt way worse then when I was smoking.... Best advice is to see your doc.

I know it took a while for my lungs to feel better after using the lozenge. I've also had some heavy chest syndrome while vaping, still within the month or two span of having quit analogs.

Notice you're in NY. If the weather there has been on par with Cleveland you've basically just turned your heat on for the first time this year. With the vaping dehydrating you and the head being on making the air more dry it might be a combination of the two plus getting all the tar and junk out of your lungs.

Always best, and when in doubt see a doctor as I only play one on TV :).

I have COPD; actually early stages of emphysema, so it's imperative that I give up smoking cigarettes. Like I said earlier, I'm very glad to be able to stop smoking by vaping, but I'm actually breathing much worse at this point than when I was smoking the analogs. And it's not like I'm vaping a lot either; I'm probably taking fewer "puffs" per day than when I was smoking the real ones.

Listen man. You need to see your doctor and try Chantix or something.

At this point, inhaling any vapor or chemicals as a replacement for analogs is not a good answer.

And anybody that tells you any differently is being blinded by the light or something.
