Anyone have a problem losing their sense of taste every few days? I know I am only off reg cigarettes a month, but I have quit before and I never had this problem. They did slowly return to normal after I quit, but this is happening off and on. Like today, I could vape brake fluid and wouldn't know the difference!! When it first happened I didn't think much of it because it got better in a few days but it keeps happening. Is this a common issue?

What nic level are you vaping. What fllavors. Flavors like cinnamon, wintergreen, clove are used to dull tooth pain. Imagine what they do to the tongue. LOL Or at least the oils do. Careful to make the distinction. I have yet to do much cinnamon except as a background like danish.
When I use high nic some flavor is lost. But that could just be me.

I am using tribecca by halo and I know the nic level is too high, it is 24mg/ that was recommended by a local shop when I told them what kind of cigarettes I smoked....Think that could be the problem? I did try in the beginning one called fireball (strong cinnamon) but that only lasted half a day and now I don't care for cinnamon at all. I also have a caramel flavor that I switch to some. I sure wish I could figure out why it is happening :(

My taste buds are actually much more sensitive since I've started vaping. Perhaps you're just getting used to one particular flavor?

This could very well be part of the problem..I just can't seem to find other flavors that I really like. I am stuck on one and even when I taste it, it is getting old, but so many that I have tried have a perfume like taste and I just can't handle it.

Yes, this is common. This is why most people change flavors during the day because you become desensitized to a flavor very quickly. Occasionally you lose your sense of taste altogether for a short period of time. Lots of water helps.

Everyone is slightly different and we all use different equipment and vape different juices so there are a lot of variables that can affect you. It's Great that you asked this because everyone is here to help others and it does help to know that we are not alone.

Relax, Enjoy!

Thank you, I will definitely be trying to drink more water AND switch up the juices. I have an order on the way from hellavapor (crossing my fingers) maybe I will find something I like.

The more juices that you find "tolerable", the more variety you will have to choose from. Any juice that you do not like should be set aside for a few weeks and tried again. The taste of the juice may change while it "steeps", your taste may change, or you may just want something different.

OTOH, you may not be able to taste at all, in which case you might as well use the juice you don't like, and save your favorites for when you can taste again! Lol

I wish my problem was not tasting. When I first started vaping, about two weeks in, and everything had a slight fishy taste to me. Yuck! thank goodness it did not last long, and thankfully it did not return, but boy oh boy were my buds playing a mean trick on me.

YUCK! Yes, that would be worse by far! Maybe I won't have to deal with any cruel taste bud tricks :)

Something that may help is trying some of Virgin Vapor's fruit flavors. They all have natural flavoring and the only one I've tried that isn't spot on for the fruit is Black Cherry marshmallow. I particularly like the Celestial Honeydew as a second vape palate cleanser. I always have at a main vape and a secondary one going. That seems to wake up my sense of taste when it goes to sleep from vaping the same flavor too long. I also drink a lot of water.

My problem is solved! I ordered some new flavors from HellaVapor and they are AMAZING! After switching to those, in just a few hours my taste beds were waking up! They got better and better as the day went by....Woke up this morning, filled a clearo with their wonderland and OH MY MY...It is out of this world! I guess it was a combination of drinking more water and switching up the flavors. I am not certain, but I am one happy vaper this morning :)

I find if I stick to a single flavour for an extended time it starts to get dull, I chalk it up to my taste getting acclimated to it. When it starts to get dull, I change flavour. Even switching to flavourless for a day reinvigorates my sense of taste. It's like when I was smoking really, after a period of smoking the same brand it just tasted like nothing really, but if I changed brands they had a distinct difference in flavour and I would be able to notice the differences.

Hi, I find the same thing happening to me, so aggravating. Is Halo the only one you've tried? I ordered the tribeca and thought it was perfume or poison, couldn't handle it at all. I like the cafe mocha, but you might want to try a differant vendor too.. I think sometimes I over vape and cant taste anymore!!

I had tried a few vendors. I have a local vapor store that I go to and test flavors, but you don't usually know what company makes them doing it that way. It is funny how different vendors/flavors work for different people...I LOVED the tribecca, but now that my taste buds are improving I am starting to notice that slight perfume taste. I hated halo's other tobacco flavors, they taste more like a cigar to me personally, I haven't tried the cafe mocha. I don't really want to name the other vendors but there are 3 of them that I can't handle their stuff at all.....way too much of a chemical taste. I hope hellaVapor continues to add new flavors because I am LOVING their stuff. Have you tried them?

recidivus, I am pretty sure sticking with the same flavor was my biggest problem, I have had the worst time finding anything I like so I kept going back to tribecca.....It got to the point that it tasted like a fog machine smells LOL What are some of your favorite juices?
