The Triton is too much for me too. I find it gives me a sore throat all the time. I like the mini tanks but they can be tricky when vaping heavy juices like Belgian Cocoa. Not sure what to do about that one; I've killed two tanks already with it.

You may want to hold on to your Triton setup. I think your taste/preference for equipment may change a few months down the road. I vape a variety of devices from cigalikes (G6 and Blu) to midsized (Triton) to mechanical mods. They each have their place in my life and I'm glad I don't have to choose just one. If you really want to part out your Triton and can't return it, give me a shout... I'll be in your area this weekend or next (Howl-O-Scream).

The volt are mostly bottom coils; muted flavors, cooler vapor. Great if you're into menthol.

What did you smoke before vaping? How often?

I smoked a pack a day of newports.

They are menthols, but not minty or peperminty.

So far $900 in and im not a happy vaper!

My best set up is the minitanks on the triton, but i hate the way it looks
And the esmart, doesnt last long.

Seems that the minitank kanger t4 tyoe clearos are my best bet, anything else is to harsh or no throat hit!
I need muted flavor and warm hit, like the minitanks, but they dont last long.

Looking for options.

dont feel bad, the Triton tears my throat up also. thats why i'm sticking with the G6. i prefer to think of myself as "refined" rather than "wimpy" or "cries too much at the slightest adversity". they're not tears, i have ALLERGIES!

Right now I'm more than happy with my G6's, carts, and mini tanks (although the mini tanks can be a real pain in the .... when they flood). I've for over a month now developed a nice system with my G6's as far as cleaning, drying, charging and such but can't find a good enough reason to start all over with the Triton (not yet). At this particular moment, I can't say I've lost interest (or want something more) with the G6 so I'll stay on the fence for a while longer. Right now I'm in trying different flavor mode and having a damn good time

However, that having been said, I will at some point get the Triton starter kit along with the VV batt because folks on the forum make the Triton sound so tempting. I want to fully master one before moving to the next so with that in mind, I keep my eye on all the Triton threads. Some folks on here really know their stuff. Hell, this forum is where I've learned "best practices" when it comes to getting the most out of my G6's and it's worked out quite well.

I'm finding with vaping that with everything it's a "to each their own" kind of thing from devices to flavors to maintenance.

It occurs to me that these Halo juices, with a high ratio of PG, may not be for you.

PG is intended to add throat hit, but everyone has a different sensitivity to it; you may be one that is particularly sensitive.

I bought some VG recently, to try to smooth out some juices, but I haven't tried it yet. I'll let you know if it works. Glycerin is available at CVS and is cheap ($5 for 6 oz, aka 177 mL).

Ahhh! Its really the amount of menthol or koolada, or whatever makes the throat cold. I have bought some stuff for diy juice. Ive tried a few different brands of juice, all menthol and the common denominator is too much menthol!

I did a test and bought cantelope ejuice, and menthol, mixed a couple drps of menthol juice to the cantelope juice and was in vape heven till i ran out. So now i plan on doing the same to halo gourmet flavors, just add a couple drops of menthol and see if i can customize my hit.

Diy s myother option making from scratch, but i have more reading to do, but i did buy the suppplies.

Why not just take shorter drags of the Triton? When I want an stronger throat hit, I just take a longer drag of my Triton. When I want a softer hit, I take an short drag. Works great for me, and not hard to do.

Yah i smoked cigafettes for 24 years, i cant do short drags, i tried. It just doesnt work out, i ended up lighting a cigarette after vaping. But thanks for the idea.
