Should I be worried?

I hate puff counters. I don't really care how many puffs I do in a day. I also DIY so juice consumption I have no concern for either. All I know is my wife vapes 200mls a month so I can keep up with having steeped juice for her all the time.
I got some great builds in my subtank minis and seem to always be refilling the atty so my only real concern is that taking the tank on and off so many times your wearing out the 510 threads and the hitter will suffer a premature death. I almost retired my IStick100 cause the threads becoming tired and the atty was a tad wobbly. I use a airflow adapter to save my threads and have a bunch of the finned adapters in the mail. I don't care that my subtank has a adapter under it, just that it works.

@Johnnyvapor18 I wouldn't worry about that, seems perfectly normal, as long as it doesn't affect you physically.

Just grab the mod and AFC together, take off the tank while leaving the AFC on the mod. You might need to get the hang of it but works perfectly with a STM.

Its actually called a airflow controller. I put a thin oring between the Istick and controller to hold it in place without having to torque it down. Split the controller and put another oring in the middle so there is almost no gap. It works very well and I haven't yet removed the controller along with the subtank. I'll have to see how the finned ones work cause IMO these will give a lot more life to the hitter by saving the 510 threads

Dang, how tight are you putting your tanks on?

I have mods that are running into 4-5 years old now at least and none have given me worries about the 510 threads. As they are sealed battery types, I'm thinking that the battery will be long dead before the thread of the pin would be. Heck, the older mods (sealed) that I disposed of a long time ago was fine except for the battery no longer charging.

One thing I do with any tank that gives me any sort of "wobble" is instead of trying to force it down more, I use rubber plumbing tape (the seal sealing type) to make myself a little gasket/washer. It takes the shape, is just thick enough to stop any wobbling. I'm thinking that next time I'm at the hardware store, I'll look up soft type washers that might be even better.

I bought the Istick for my wife in late 2015 and she used it for over a year being her only hitter she used. She liked the battery life of 2 batts. That's refilling prolly 3-4 times a day, everyday. The threads have gotten tired over that time and I can't control how tight she screws the atty on every time but she knows enough not to torque it on. So it has nothing to do with how tight the tank is being put on. That the Istick threads are wearing out, the atty was loosening on its own and she showed me before it was too late or something happened. The Istick will spend the rest of its days with me now and I bought her another one.

The worse is usually with a tank that has "off-ish" threads or if it's put on crooked.

My old i-sticks died or were given away a while back so can't say much to how they wear after so many years, but last time I used them, they were fine.

But yeah, if you're using a bottom feed tank, that would be hard on the connector. Once you use a top fill tank, I rarely hear anyone wanting to go back to a bottom feed one.

I adtually meant the STM base itself, they also call it an AFC
I just leave it on the mod, so no screwing and unscrewing except when i clean the base/AFC.
