Ok, so after much searching, I have found a used Darwin for sale. But my question is, is it really worth the money? I'd be paying slightly over rrp...

I've owned a couple provari's, but the error messages when using a rebuildable just suck. Now, a vamo or an MVP seem to be great choices, but I'm conflicted... Should I drop the cash, when I can get so much for my cash?

Now I own a couple GGT's, a Gus tele, and some ego's. so wwvd?
What would vaperists do?

If you are doing rebuilds I would think the Darwin would be too amp limited for your needs. It is also finicky with the size/types of heads due to the connector.

There may be some nice high-end mods coming based on the Evolv DNA20d which would have plenty of amps for rebuilds or you could build your own. :)

the only problem with either and rba's is dropping too low on the resistance. build a 1.5ohm or higher coil and you will never have problems on a proV.
it is my speculation that the darwin was the first mod to really be a winner, had a fan base and right about the time provari started rolling in to challenge it and starting to fight for the top spot it was canceled. leaving defenders and fans without their beloved device that they so vigorously defended. it really was different then anything else at the time, possibly was way ahead of its time as just now we are getting into VW and the darwin was already there.

while a worthy device for a collection i would be wary of the serviceability if something goes wrong. i do not know if they will still service them as i have seen other people (even when they were still out) have to jump through hoops and produce names and receipt numbers etc. just to get out of warranty repairs on used ones bought elsewhere.. i dont know if this is the case now.

and like posted -with the new dna 20 chip running around i think a new wave of vw is about to start to hit the market.

What Vari error codes are you running into with RBA? Thats exclusively all I use these days and I haven't seen any E_ since my first week with RBA. The low Ω capability of the Provari isn't going to be beaten by anything currently mass produced (that isn't Mech).

Could look at the CVI v1. Its a 3-6v, VV/VW that goes for around $50. Has 350 & 650 tubes.

If your looking for collecting, I think a Darwin would be a nice addition. But outside a collectors perspective, I guess I don't see the point with how rampant VW is now.

I thought about getting one a while back - after watching this review decided not to:
REVIEW OF THE DARWIN ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE - YouTube

It was an innovation when it first came put, but there are a lot of vw mods now, with replaceable batteries and better features. I like using tanks and that Darwin arm isn't practical.

Well, after much thought. I'm not getting a Darwin.. I think...
I pulled the trigger on a Poldiac and some extra brass parts which ran almost $300. The unused dough will go to a vamo...
So.... (Shhh) maybe this is already known, but something is coming out in 3-4 weeks (vv/vw) from a big well know company(not provape). So vamo then, the next evolution of vv/vw...
