Didn't know we had a symbol...just a stigma:?:. :2cool:.

There a different variants of the symbol but this one was simple. I am thinkin bout gettin this design on my left wrist the same size (maybe) as my first one.

I love it. I am I guess Buddhist and a bunch of other things. I don't judge or hold anything against anyone for any beliefs. Some day it's hard thinking something is out there with the way the world is.

On earth so far away.

I respect you for that, I will respect others on what choice/path/religion/etc (except for somethings that just ain't right...criminal wise) as long as they don't attempt to convert me...Thanks, outside of the Internet...I get tons of hatred based off of my ink once I tell people what it stands for, the hypocritical part is that some of these people have ink themselves and yet I don't judge them based off of theirs. I would go into more details but don't want to cause a conflict nor go off topic/hijacking.

It's somewhat faded, guess my skin don't like ink or it's just me going blind.

I'm with ya trip, I believe if a person is a goid person it shouldn't matter what they believe but I do believe I'm going to work from your tattoo if that's okay with you, I like it but will certainly alter it to my own style unless you say no, I know I wouldn't want my tats on others

Reading this thread is giving me that craving, the one which I'm sure you all know very well, to go under the needle. I have some ideas but they'll have to wait until winter, fall at the earliest. I just can't keep myself out of the surf for two weeks of healing during the summer.

Oh well, keep the photos coming guys and gals. I'll satiate my ink cravings through you.

I usually wait 2 days before I get back in the water but if you're talking salt water probably not the best for a new tat

This is my 2nd one. 28 years after my first. I didn't want something with so much detail that people would have to stop and get up close and try and figure out what it was. Or that from a distance just looked like a mix-up of a bunch of colors and patterns. Bold colors with enough contrast to see what it is. And of course, something that when I'm REALLY old I won't wonder what I was thinking.
It's shiny with ointment, the night I got it a couple of months ago.

BoiseMike, people get tattoos for such a wide array of reasons. Some hope to express something to other people, necessitating the considerations that you mention about how something might look from a distance, etc., but many people get some or all of their tattoos just for themselves, often ones not typically even visible to anyone but themselves, and couldn't care less about such considerations. Personally, I plan to add to my mix of both varieties. Just didn't want anyone to take that as some sort of swipe - love this thread:).
