The list numbers are easy if I have it figured right. Let me REALLY give you something to try to wrap your head around. The price of my order just went down today by about $80, because unemployment dropped. Yeah, figure that one out.

Actually, I'm making that too simple. Unemployment actually rose slightly, as employers added more jobs. Go.

The extra tubes are a deal! I have 4 tubes and 2 sets of tops & bottoms coming, in different finishes. For that, I can make many combinations of sizes/finishes/contrasts. It's like getting half a dozen or more Caravelas, although I can only use 2 at a time.

Your brass is so shiny! I have the 18350 and 18650 brushed brass tubes and the ss shiney 18490. One question... would it be possible to polish, or have polished, one of my brushed brass tubes, and would it look as good as if were originally polished by Pedro??? Thanx in advance.

Its only shiny for the picture my friend - as soon as I touch and use it 5 min its over with. Show more smudges and fingerprints than shiny SS. Your brushed brass is best buddy. My final order will be brushed brass and not shiny

You get on the list and pay just before production starts. Thats why people on waiting list get bumped up because some people do not pay when required. Current list will take you into next yr as he only makes 50 at a time.

If you remember, how long from the day you paid until you received your Caravela?


Also, do you know of a photo of the new Mixed Finish for the connector part and button base?

I did email him, and asked if my order was correct. I included the picture he has of the brushed brass, and asked that he make mine exactly like he made his. He was indeed very polite!

But the longer I wait the more changes I want to make. For instance, I ordered the brushed smallest tube, and the 2 other tubes are polished brass. I am rethinking that decision as I heard that the polished are a bear to keep, but then I have a chrome ProVari so think maybe they would be along the same lines as far as that goes. Then I start worrying about the money and think I don't need all those tubes anyway? Or maybe I should get one of the SS tubes also. But then remember I went with brass because I have a chrome Provari and wanted a different look. And then I wonder if I should order more tubes in other configurations, but since I only have one unit and can only use one tube at a time, should I bother? You get the picture. Luckily, I have kept this to myself and haven't emailed him other than that first one.

Any recommendations for a nail biter like me?

This is what I would do. Now that I know what I'm doing with Caravela - WHICH I did not with my first order.

Stay with shiny ss or brushed ss or brass. Shiny brass is a b--ch to take care of. Most important thing is get an extra top and bottom button for one of your other tubes and an extra set of brass screws for adjusting your atomizers to battery. You will thank me for that. Everytime you switch out a tube - you will be switching the top screw too. Your second set of caps will have serial # 000* or whatever your real # is.

If you want to save a little money, then forget the third tube. Make sure you get a DT, its worth it. I like the big engraved C also on the bottom of button. One of my friends didnt get it and now he wished he did.

Mixed finish pics are on Caravela Forum. Far as shipping - w/in two weeks of it being sent as NY customs holds them for awhile.

Far as when I paid - I asked him to wait with shipping until I got back from vacation, so I cant answer that one.


Mixed finish is brushed on top of top cap and bottom of button so not to show scratches

It is not VV You can buy tubes in 18350, 18500 or 18650.. For VV you would have to add a kick to either the 18500 or 18650 tube.
