So these are pre-order until 2014? :( sad day

Worse, they're sold out. Pedro, the maker, even got choked up about it. Really nice, humble and down to earth guy. He is going to make some in other sizes when the orders are filled, so if you think you'll still be vaping in 2014, watch his forum for news. I believe that with the exception of a couple limited special materials mods (which will likely go to current customers first), his next big batch will be 14xxx tubes. My wife is dying of anticipation, and she has at least a year to wait.

Moueix - I was just looking at pics ... do you only have 18650 tubes?

I like them to Kick the 18500s, but man are they long. LOL

Size is relative, dear Blu. When you wear 3xl gloves, and size 14 shoes, an 18650 is a toothpick. And yep, I love the LR tank with the kick. For the other tube, I use a 2.0 357 and the 650 batt. Things lasts FOREVER. My #974 is going to be an 18350. HAD to get one once I experienced the tank, for my pocket. I can't imagine how tiny they are, but the pics sure are cute.

You are getting an 18350??? LOL

I put my Vela on mine to see how tiny it is, and BOY is it tiny, even for me.

I like the 18500 tubes, and kick an 18350, but it's next to nothing on battery life.

When I saw the pic of Pedro's 18350 w/tank in that little change pocket in his jeans, I was sold. When I'm working, I wear Carhartt's and they have a pretty deep change pocket. That little 350 is going to fit right in there.

I found this thing online at RTDVapor.com. It hold 3 350's or 500's, or two 18650's. I clip the carabiner on my belt loop, and the case then fits right into my pocket. I never worry about batteries anymore. I can access it driving or whenever. I need to get another, it's probably the best $2.65 I've spent in vaping.

Smoking at 12 probably stunted my growth. My son is 6'6" and wears size 16 shoes. I'm glad the Navy is buying his shoes and making his clothes now. That was EXPENSIVE.

Of the few minor issues that come with a new 'Vela (the tight tolerance on the button, mostly, till it's broken in), my biggest pain has been with the kick. Of 2, one has already died on me. It was intermittent. It took a lot of tinkering before I got scientific about it and isolated the kick as the problem. On the 2nd, I had to put a couple slices of duct tape as a shim opposite the ground to keep the ground wire contacting the tube. I'm having a love/hate relationship with it. I find that the 2nd mod, without a kick, works just fine with a 2 ohm atty. And I get the long battery life. I'm thinking my next 306's for the tank will be 2 ohm, and I'll kick the kick.

It just doesn't seem worth it for the loss of battery size, and every time I have an issue with the mod, it is usually the kick that's responsible. mine have "crushed" just a little when new, so it worked fine for a couple days, then I was getting nothing until I changed to the next longer pin. Now that it is all seated, it's been pretty trouble free, but I'm finding the wattage from a raw battery with the 2ohm is pretty much in my sweet spot anyway. There is the tapering voltage issue, but I actually find it less hassle than the more frequent battery changes. YMMV.

Try the 1.8 ohm first. If it's too high, I'll be happy to send you a couple brand new Cisco Aero bridgeless 1.5's, gratis. I won't be using them. I'm definitely going to 2's. The 1.5 is WAY too hot for me without the kick. Over 11 watts with a fresh batt. I like it under 7.

And yeah, I LOVE the looks of the Latina on the the 18350 tube. I'm so excited, I almost can't wait until next January. But I don't want to be "that guy" and put in for the lottery when I already own two. Of course, I love it on the 650 too, it is way mightier than it looks on that tube.
