I suppose it can be changed in the Yihi software similar to the to Escribe. I’m still trying to using my thumb so we’ll do how that works out. I have SX Mini software already downloaded. I just have never played with it. Yet.

Gorgeous! Did you use the basic micro mesh and renaissance polish! Or add a hardwood polish as well?

No i used a sanding wheel with grits 400 right through to 10 000 and then a buffing wheel with medium and then fine buffing/finishing paste....It had a bit of renaissance polish on after that but to be honest it made it duller so I buffed most of it off again

If Asmodus actually did this correctly like they should it would add about $300 $400 if done by hand any ways. Any issues using the wheel?
The good news is that at least it’s not a $700 mod!!! Just Incase of an oops!!!

Wondering if anyone has used Perma Gloss not water based, I know this solvent is Xylene bad stuff used right ok, Have used Perma Gloss on wood fishing reel seats and has been perfect no cracking or splitting to the coating, Would like to use on a Avid Lyfe Stabwood sleeve, Would it be ok as it's a solvent base.

....Something shines because it has scratches so fine on its surface that the human eye can't see them. A shine is not polish that is usually the protective coating to keep the wood or whatever in good condition.Renaissance wax is exactly that it is a gentle but efficient protective layer and it does that very well so probably good to work some eventually into the grain so that the wood is protected but then buff it back up to that high polish if that's what you desire.
I've got 3 other Luna's to do it to and also some ultem and plastic. The process works on anything that can be sanded in the same way as wood can. That's why the metal looks so shiny as well in my video....of course it removes any paint though
The sanding disc's are amazing...it spins and you just hold the item up to it at the angle you require. That's the only choice you need to make really..... some different sizes and types of sanding tools will be necessary for different situations so the very rounded and molded shapes will be more difficult to do by machine...
But heey....there's always elbow grease
That looks superb and presumably it is hard wearing and stable?? How on earth do you get enough cyanoacrylate to dip or paint with??
I bought the mod of a maker out of New Zealand, so I don't know the specifics of applying the finish. It is very stable and also a hard finish, only concern I have is that it might chip if dropped. The mod is almost 4 years old, finish has held up well.

I actually managed to find a video of some super glue finishing on you tube and it was done with super glue and an activator, some 2000 grit paper and a wax polish finish. The more layers you put on the more sparkly it gets....your mod looks like its had at least 5 goes You’re very correct. My meds have me slightly messed up. So as soon as soon as as soon as I can can play with theme configuration I’ll change the the theme. Thanks

There are quite a few CA videos using knife handles although I’d be a bit cautious with that.
I’ve seen lots of videos on wood working such as knife handles. Lots of oh good info on those videos.
It’s amazing how popular knife handles are with woodworking!! I’ve really learned a lot by reading and watching all these articles and videos. I just wish I had the the expertise at it.
It’s actually not too bad rn! Warm but not too hot or humid!! Of course I’ve been in the the the house the entire day in the air conditioner having an MS /fibromyalgia flare so I state innocence with any weird things I’ve said.
