You guys ( and gals) are amazing! The glass work is fantastic Shatner! Frankly I would be terrified to try that one:) Love the chain mail too, my son would absolutely love that!
That crochet work is too darn cute and a cozy for a coffee cup would be great!

Ok so since we have an artists corner, I do miniatures and paint in oils on canvas,
I have no pics of my paintings on this puter so will just show you a few minis.
I work in wood, mostly cherry for them. The food on the table is sculpted in clay.

I read your post but it didn't really register until I saw the coin. 8-o Wow! You have some serious talent! How big is the desk in the last pic? Care to explain a bit how it's done? Is it just like putting together a real sized one? Do you make the parts? This is incredible to me.

LOL Thank you, but you have serious talent!

The last pic is the high desk , it is a replica of an antique desk I saw somewhere.
It is 1//12 scale , would fit in a dollhouse:) It has its own secret compartment just like the original too. It was about 4 inches long.

The one next to the quarter is 1/4 scale even smaller then the desk scale.

Everything is handmade by me even the fruit .

Yes it is very much like making a full size version, I made much of my own furniture and cabinets at one time so I know how to build the full sized too:)

Opps forgot to say I dont make the dishes :)

Dude: you KNOW how I feel already about your glass work... that one you are working on (in the pics) looks killer! I had NO idea it cost so much! Good thing it doesn't take tooo long to make something, but breaking even must still take years. :wow: whoa... LOVE the zig-zag one.

McBug: I SO wanna learn how to crochet and/or knit. I am totally envious! I saw your PV lanyard that you posted on the old PIF and was kicking myself for missing it! You rock girl! we gotta trade skills :) lol

Crusie: awesome chain mail! How do you do it? Do you fit every single piece together? I may have to get with you about buying some for my bags!

Mini: WOW... that is simply AMAZING! You've got some mad skills girl!

*we need to come up with something to colaborate on! Wouldn't THAT be awesome!! Then run a contest for the ECF and give it to the winnner :D

OK, here's mine. A little history first :)

I grew up around art (my dad worked in business, but was always making something in the basement) My parents collect art, and sometimes my dad would take his camera, photograph something he liked (any medium) and then go home and make it. So I learned to not only appreciate art, but to do anything that struck my fancy.

I do photography, drawing, textiles, painting, sculpting, etc etc. I freestyle everything, no patterns, self taught, and LOVE to incorporate other peoples art into my projects. I also make everything OOAK, and use stuff my parents bring back from other countries, and I do a lot of "upcycling".

Some of my work can be seen here.
And a bag I just made a bag for the local Relay for life here.

Here's Paula's eciggie bag from the PIF....

This has gotten me thinking. I could easily knit up some ecig holders for PIF, I just need some time. I have 2 weeks left of this semester. If there is interest, I will do it. :) I would make them felted so one wouldn't have to worry about things falling through stitches. I could even have a belt loop worked in or have it on a strap so it could be carried like a purse.

I agree, fine art indeed. :D

Another idea that has been presented to me, I could do some boxes for PIF too. They would be nice for storing supplies. :)

LOL... Lili you beat me to it! I was just going to say how much I liked your boxes, and those would be great for giving too!

Sandy, do you have pictures? I didn't see anything on your profile? What kind of artist are you?

Awesome LAB! That tiger would be hanging in my kid's room if you lived nearby.

Neph... you KNOW we think your mods are too cool for school! Def art in MY book :) :)

If it's handmade, it's art.
