Seems to be a race to high power going on and it worries me. Its only a matter of time before someone is hurt by something like this and it hits the news and then the government feels like they must step in and protect us from ourselves and our rights get regulated.
Mech sub-ohmers routinely go well over 100 watts unprotected and unregulated. If anything this is a step in the right direction. I wouldn't worry about it, in fact I'd be happy about it. These chips have short circuit protection, thermal protection, battery cut-off, and on-board chargers.

I was ready to pull the trigger on an ipv2 but with the Sigelei and ipv3 coming out, I am waiting a bit. Don't see my needs using that many watts, but I sure like the idea of dual batteries for not much more cost than the 50 watt devices.
Oh yeah power is only one aspect as to why I ordered this and well I already have the ipv v2
