just for the records: started up my gold one the first time, first cell read 4V, second one 4.2V .. quickly ran down to 2V and 6.2V and an imbalance error.

In case you have this, you just need to push the top contacts in a few times, now it reads 4.05 and 4.11V .. still not ideal but at least it works.

They almost always show a ~.05v difference. I think it's the minor sag of running the screen and board.

I just received mine today and my fire button isn't working. Can't lock the mod change any settings or even vape. It turns on I can adjust the watts, but I can't fire it. Any thoughts?
My first thought is exchange or refund for sure. I'm assuming you would know if it's locked.

I am 99,9% sure that the fuchai is exactly like the sig213 just with different TCR values. They did not change anything since the fuchai was already in production when the sig213 sh*tstorm happend.
That's my guess as well.

I think TC not working as advertised is an issue, but it seems the watchdogs are going ham on calling these guys out, seeing their sub counts, it makes sense, they're thirsty as ...., and everyone loves drama. The trouble with that is, they got us over a barrel, and people buying these, and future products won't know .... about this. While it's important to point out the bull...., it's just as important not to start a wildfire of .... hurt vaping bloggers and youtubers. They're in China, they got our money, and they clearly dgaf about the vocal minority.

OK! Go ahead, point and laugh at the stupid old man! But the world needs more laughter and if I can bring that, even at my expense, it's all good! So......

After getting and using my Sig 213 for a month or so, I placed my order for the orange (hey! at my age I have to make my mods easy to find!) Fuchai 213. I am halfway through my "historic" 12 day run that includes my 2 year vapaversary, my 39 year wedding anniversary (rare in these days ), my birthday (not saying which one ), and the 4th  (closest thing I could find to a fireworks emote). Between that and the popular stockpiling epidemic, I figured I deserve a break today and not the Mickey D kind. But why the 213? (I can already hear the snickers! o_O)

What can I say? I love my Sig 213! The size, the fit, the feel, the battery life, and the looks! Yes, absolutely it has some problems, none of which are that detrimental to my vape style. I never go above about 82 watts, I don't make use of the TCR/TFR settings (although I may regret that at some point ), and the preset TC requires some adjustments. But at this time, I only use on atty with Ti and one with SS and I hated that the 213 would not retain those adjustments for each preset. So here's my idea behind buying the Fuchai 213 (as the snickers increase to a few guffaws ).....

With two 213's I can use in power mode, I hope to have one set for Ti TC and the other set for SS TC! And the Fuchai in bright orange so I know which is which :hubba: (although due to poor memory, I still may have to label it )! What if I branch out in TC with Ni or different SS you ask? I've always got my Lavabox DNA200 to fall back on as my best TC mod.

So what's not to like? For a mere $60, I've taken care of stockpiling, back-ups for back-ups, and a temporary relief from shinyitis. Now pick yourselves up off the floor, wipe the laughing tears from your eyes, and get back to vaping and accomplishing something/anything more worthy of your time !

ok, since I'd been enjoying my 213 mods BECAUSE of the way the temp control has been working on them, I decided to run the cotton test. Here's a video I took - the actual test is about 10 minutes in, and after the cotton wick tests, don't bother watching - I just start rambling :p

Hello,
One thing that I don't understand about your test... I wouldn't think 38 watts is anywhere near enough to even reach your desired/set temperature of 400F, without pre-heat. I did some testing on a DNA device...My coils were dual 316LSS .24ohms, Fused claptons, 2x28gauge core, wrapped with 32 gauge... I set everything the same as you, 38watts preheat for .01 second, and 38 watt of power....Here is what I got....

I then tried 50 watts, and here are the results...

I then went to 65 watts.....

Still NOT enough without pre-heat...

Granted, you used a single coil, mine was dual, also you were .15ohms, and I was .24ohms....
I have no idea what type of coil you were using, but it seems to have a quite lot of mass....some type of twisted core, with a lower gauge wrap.....I'd expect the initial ramp up to take a bit......
In order for me to hit 400F and get a decent vape, I needed pre-heat of 1.4 second at 100 watts, and 80 watts of power.....as shown below....

Curious, what type of coil, and gauges were you using?

No judgement here buddy. As long as it makes you happy and keeps you off the stinkies, it's all good.
