So you're telling me that you have an understanding of TCR and it's proper functioning? If so, please do explain how this function does not work (supposedly) on the sigelei 213. Also, in reguards to reviewers saying the sigelei 213 is firmware upgradeable. They say that simply because the retailer that sent it to them for the purpose of the review has it listed on there very website. Now, in going to Sigeleis official website from announcement of the 213 i did not see at all where firmware upgrade was listed. So somewhere someone screwed up. Blame ourselves for a lack of understanding is basically what i ment. No mod is setup perfect right out of the gate, sorry not even the dna mods...no mod. That is why we are given the ability to set our own values. Now, some people tend to go extreme and then say TC does not work...well, that would be true if you went to an extreme.

I wouldn't use Ni or Ti with the 213, those 2 metals are dangerous if heated too high. I don't use those 2 metals at all even with my dna200, why take the chance?

You can change the wattage though in TC mode. Just enter the preheat mode by clicking the up and fire buttons for a few seconds. Very important to make sure the seconds of preheat are 1 second or less, 0.50 second is probably better. The reason i say that is i saw a reviewer testing tc on the 213 but he had preheat set to the max 3 seconds. Well of course TC won't work if it doesn't kick in until 3 seconds after you hit the fire button. He also didn't first read then lock resistance, just screwed up every step.

Once again though just stick with SS for TC, much safer that Ni and Ti.

Not sure what to say? I'd like to think I keep up with vaping information, but had not heard/read that before. Since I do use Ti coils, I've just got to ask:

1. Does this apply to both factory coils and built coils?
2. "if heated too high", how high is too high?
3. what is the bad or "dangerous" if heated too high, in particular, "exploding" dangerous?

With Ti it has been awhile so I can't remember all the details but it has something to do with Ti Oxide being released, this is why you never dry burn Ti to test a coil. It won't blow up but you don't want to inhale Ti Oxide.

With Ni it is a known metal that many people have allergies to, I have always known this as I do custom jewelry on the side and always try and avoid Ni in any of my projects.

Now that SS316L is more common there really is no need to mess with Ti or Ni anymore, SS is a superior wire that can also be used in power mode with no ill effects.

ppl say that the Ni allergy does not mean that you can not use Ni wire. Nevertheless I always get a nasty metallic taste from Ni. I tried it several times because I thought it is just my imagination, but no.. not working for me.

Ti and Ni is 100% obsolete in my opinion (or at least for me) having SS now working wonderful.

have fun with your POS Rx200s
I have four rx200 (and a Reuleaux DNA 200, and seven other Joyetech/Eleaf mods) and have had zero problems with them. Just don't force down atties with long 510s on them. That should go without saying, but apparently it doesn't.

LOL, yeah, the RX200S is the last device you want to brag about getting to replace anything. When your 510 goes bad at least you have the 213 as a back up....:thumb:
Who's bragging? And you pretty much mirrored my sentiment anyway......... I have an $80-$100 mod that pretty much only works in wattage mode making it the same as a mod 1/3 the value. I said I'd be ...... if If I'd actually paid for it....... And I would've been. Why are you getting defensive?

How can that go without saying if someone doesn't know?

They knew there were problems with the 510 with the RX200 and shame on them for not fixing that on the RX200S.

I am not saying the Fuchai 213 is a better mod than the RX200S but lets not make the RX200S a beacon for what a good mod is, that's just silly.

Yeah, neither the Fuchai 213 or RX200S should be compared to a DNA200. I love my DNA200 but it is expensive enough that I mainly use it at home and take the 213 on the road with me. If the 213 gets dropped or lost not as big a deal than if it were the DNA200.

My 213 works well in SS316L TC mode but recognize that others may not so I am not going to call people liars and don't expect to be called one as well. There are different firmwares on 213's, some work and some don't I guess and it is a crap shoot on which you will get since the firmware is not upgradeable. That really sucks on Sigelei's part and I won't be buying anymore of there products because of that.

I still maintain that the Power mode on the 213 is great to 155 watts which is more than most will ever need. It is also much more transportable than the RX200S. I think the 213 is a great deal in the $40 range which is what I paid, just depends on the user's needs.

I think we can all agree that Sigelei is a POS company for the way they handled this situation.
