Photos, please :D Mine is still stock...I use a vape fuse, but would feel better if the switch were improved.

I was waiting until I had a PC to respond to that same post but you beat me to it Stoneface. Wanting to see another persons take on fixing the #20 switch.

Got my Polished #13a from Vaportek today.... Geeze, this little sucker is hitting hard and 100% right out of the box...
At this point, it doesn't look like I will have to mod it at all...

If the #19e & the #8W Caravela Clone in my Vapemail are anywhere near this good, I'll have to take up a different hobby...

    Happy Happy! ..

Nice! My 19e is on order :) I hope it's a good one too. Still can't wait to see what you think of the Caravela clone...

I'll post something as soon as I get it and have a chance to take it apart. Last word is that it should get to VT in about a week (it was a pre-order), then on to me :D

I am also very interested in improvements to the #20 switch. I have the V2, and it's still a piece of junk compared to what I made myself.
If I had to guess, it's the design. Pushing a spring sideways to make contact isn't good enough, even if it is all copper.
I don't want to sell it, but it's already back in the box after 3 days of use. I await some pics from a smarter fella.

question, on the left is sig 20 with copper contacts on the right the contacts are coated with something? should i polish that off or is it better to keep it. left was received 1 month earlier to the right

You can't polish it off lol, the one on the left is copper and the one on the right is brass, both very conducive, the copper is slightly better but not much in it at all tbh

Has anyone found a way to make the Sigelei 19 work with a 18650 and a Kick? I'm just looking for a little more battery life. Plus getting this Orbtronic battery to work with a kick and not having to spend $150+ would be awesome!

Also, has anyone measured voltage drop on an unmodded #19? I have the Nzonic cap if it matters. I'm open to modding it but I want to make sure it's worth it. I just got mine from the exhalevapors pre order today.

The only way to run a #19 with an 18650 & a Kick is with a longer tube...from what I've read on a Facebook Co-op where they were talking directly to a Sigelei Rep, they will be available from Sigelei relativity soon to go with their Kick clone. No time-frame stated, but it sounded like they were already starting to manufacture them.

As far a voltage drop - the biggest problem with the stock #19 is the bottom spring....it SUCKS. Too stiff, and about as conductive as the body of the MOD itself, that's why folks are getting sparking & "hot" fire buttons. The rest of the contacts are pretty good - even the magnets - I measured > a .2 Ω drop across both the top & bottom magnet/brass cup assemblies, so I just left mine in. With the Nzonic head, you should be even a bit better, since the center pin is copper, and the top spring is gold plated, you will have less resistance.

If you replace the button spring with a "Hot Spring" (I used one from a Silver Bullet - just wound a little tighter to fit), or do one of the modifications in this thread to get better conductivity between the button & the MOD body when you fire it....you should be good. My original #19a now fires 100% & hits hard. I've got an Nzonic head for it and an all-brass #19e in the vapemail ..looking forward to getting them - they should be even better.

So far the #19 is proving to be a great little low-cost mechanical.

    Have fun....

At 232 pages under standard format, I have to believe Sigelei NEEDS it's own Sub Forum.

These mods need to be addressed separately.

Finding anything specific to any particular one, be it #8, #13, #19a/b/etc., #20 or whatever is becoming extremely difficult and no doubt, discouraging for many.

Individual Tech only, non-chitchat threads would also help. Would love to see an accumulation of Sigelei #20 Modifications in order to compare ideas and make suggestions for improvement. :)

There is the "Budget Mechanical Mods" group, but it's slow to take off. There is some good info there for some models, not much of anything on the #20. Some copy and pasting could be done.

Does anybody know where to get an inline voltage meter for checking voltage drop? Everywhere I check they are out of stock. At this point I would trade my #20 V2 for one, even though that's half the reason I want one. Will I have to make my own? I can do that, but it's not exactly cost effective.
