I just got my #8 yesterday. I am confused on measuring the voltage drop. I check my battery with my multimeter and it came in at 4.0v, I then put the battery in the #8, hit the fire button and it still showed a 4.0v. Am I not checking the drop correctly?

Typically people test at the positive screw and negative screw at the coil while firing. Is this what you did? BTW The resistance of the coil effects voltage drop and coils with different levels of resistance will read different voltage drops.

Nope, so I did do it wrong. I didn't have anything attached with a coil, I just tested the positive and negative side of the screw.

did you shaved the lip protruding connector? i have to manually sand mine so just to make it flush with any atomizer i want to put on it. i am using an aga t for tankmode and nimbus clone for a dripper.

guys on sigelei #19 have you encountered the sparks on the firing button? and bat-.... crazy misfires? or its just mine is nothing but a lemon :(

The 510 connector? No, I didn't sand mine.

Quite a few people have experienced this with the #19. Read back over the last few pages or in the Sigelei #19 thread and there are a few fixes this. I wrapped NR wire around the spring to resolve the shocks and misfires.

First round of Copper 19's shipped today. Should have mine Monday. Very interested to see what these are actually made of, most importantly the pins.

This is why I buy both $200 mods and cheapo $35 mods...the cheapos are always fun to tinker with, and it's sometimes a mystery what they are made of till you get em! I love the it :)

I have yet to buy a high end mod. I have almost pulled the trigger a couple times, but when it comes right down to it, I can't see that I would get that much better of a vape. Yes some if them are amazingly beautiful, but I think I would cry if I scratched it so I figure that I would end up using my cheapy mods more often anyway.

Maybe some day I will get myself a nemesis, but for now...

Exactly. I have only bought one "expensive" mod (temon) and it was awesome right out of the mail, but my tinkering soul loves the cheap mechs. I haven't felt an ounce of guilt grinding, sanding, filing, burning and modding my clones, and I'm getting voltage drops that $200+ mods boast. Say what you will about the clones, but it's pretty hard to argue the price for what you get... Especially if you are like me and see something for what it could be- not for what it is.

You know, the "high end" mods are not going to give you anything you cant get with budget mods. The two most important things in your vape quality, on the hardware side, is a) what materials the connections are made of and b) the atomizer...be it pre-made, or in my case RBA/RDA. That's it. The price is irrelevant. You can attain the same vape quality in a $25 rig that you can with a $250 rig. Some people might not like to hear that, but it's the truth :)

I'm a collector, of many things...tattoos, comics, timepieces, vaping gear...and so on. I buy the higher end mods for their beauty, the artistry, and the pure "gota have that new shiny thing" factor...just like with my other collections.

As I sit here typing this Im vaping on a rig that cost me under $80; MKB-TS topped with a Chinex V6 RDA....and you know what, it ... rocks my face :vapor:

slightly off- topic, but have you used your AGI as a tank very much? if you fix the crappy spring connection in the center tube, it vapes equally as well as the dripper IMHO. I measured the resistance of the post with the original spring and it was nearly 1.2ohm loss. I used a small brass pin that fit tightly inside the spring, cut to fit and no loss of resistance through the center post. on my next tank fill I will take a pic or two. super easy fix for great results!!

AGI, toss the center spring, i use solid bras rod 1/8, taper one end to fit top deck. drill a 1/16 hole in bottom, to slip on bottom deck rod. AGI rox, keeping up with my Status22.... 18350 x4.jpg
The picture is #20, #8, mkb-ts & chi chi gold n chrome. Liking my sigali's. I also just set up my MKB-TS + ody ts base. My every were mod is the SIG #8 + SG-1 + Terminator -C, no leaks, no gaps. Waiting on another #19, gave mine away 2 days ago & it was very very solid, no miss fires with a sub ohm IGO-L on top. I have no pictures of the sig8 & term set up... guess i will take some more pix this weekend.
