If you turn it off with 5 clicks, plug it into the USB it will show a battery with a lightening bolt in it. The screen will go out and all you have to do is push the fire button once to check status. When it is finished charging the battery will be completely filled in instead of the lightening bolt.

Yup, that's what happened. I just let it charge until it filled in. I probably won't ever do it again tho. I'd rather just pop in a charged battery when it gets low. Kind of stupid to have to hit a button to see if it's full or not. Strange???

Really ? Simple the way that you explain it, I just always charged mine in the "On" position, never thought to turn the thing "Off". I was checking to see if it got all hot on me (which it didn't), or caught fire (which it didn't), and if it charged consistently (which it did), or if the battery got hot while charging either by using the USB port of my computer or a AC adapter plugged into the wall outlet (which it didn't), BUT I never thought to myself "Hey, Now try charging it while turned OFF". I would make a Sad reviewer, Thats why I don't.

I picked two of these up from Vape NW for knock around devices they looked pretty decent. I got one black and one silver and the 510 threading was good on both.

The black worked well but the silver has crazy battery sag and when I release the fire bottom it will at times randomly keep firing. I tried several different batteries and the sag was the same. I stopped using the device because the damn thing was to unpredictable. Twice I had to pull the battery to get it to stop firing.

I contacted NW and they asked for a video. I explained that it seemed kind of dangerous to keep playing with the device that was having issues. It doesn't look like they will take care of it and really all I wanted was one that worked, I didn't want my money back.

Is the fire button sticking? Meaning the button stays pushed in. Check that and you can fix it

You tried the nice way. Now try being nasty. Tell them they can mess with it and make a video for Sigelei, and hope it doesn't blow their hand off. That worked for me when I got a bad atty, lol! My first email was polite and professional, and I got two rude emails back. So I got *itchy, the way a woman can, and I got a new atty.

First impressions:
In DC DC it feels like it hits smoother on 15W than the Vamo. Might be just be, but it feels better. I haven't tried 15w+ yet since i'm using 6.2A max batteries and the HE4s are charging.
The only downsides i've found so far:
The fire button is a bit loose. It has room to move around a bit. But it does not get stuck at all.
It wouldn't hurt if the box was a bit more rounded.
It does not show the batteries voltage (i knew about this, but still count it as a con).

Other than that, happy with it!

Ricks, it does not appear to be sticking just keeps firing, I think it's internal. The sag on the battery is also a big concern, freshly charged VTC4's & Samsung 25R's drop to about 20% when I hit the fire button.

Noodle, I'm not even going to bother. I spend plenty but they won't be seeing any more of my money. Asking me to take a video of a unit that is obviously messed up is just stupid. If I was asking for money back it would be one thing, I just wanted a good working unit.

Rip, that was the first thing a friend mentioned when I let her use it, she said it would be much better with rounded edges.

Always heard decent things about Vape NW but now I can say I don't agree.

Oh i forgot to mention, i also got the opaque sleeve. Ordered from FT and the black one was on the picture. Anything to do about that?
Other news, tried 15+w. Hits like a truck, gonna have to keep it either at 20 max or lower nic :D

While I'm at it, when do you charge your battery? I don't want it to drop below 3.5V and i have no idea when that is on this indicator.
I suppose i could drain one on the vamo to 3.5 and pop it in, curious to when do you guys do it :)

The Carbon Fiber skin arrived from 24/7 Skins, I should have probably got the premium one instead of the printed version. Either way it is quality vinyl and quite easy to put on, but has a lot of corners and edges. I can see them bothering me down the road. You feel the edge are there when you handle the mini and I can see it getting lifted in one of those corners eventually. Then I'll get totally annoyed with it an rip it off with extreme prejudice. ;)

It is a really hard call to recommend these to anyone as I don't have a lot of experience with the different skin manufacturers. The premium version is textured I imagine where this one is flat.

I also picked up one for the KBox, fun trying to get something on a device that has a round back. It is the same with the edges and corners so time will tell.

The Mini 30 with a 24/7 Carbon Fiber Skin.

The sent me the wrong sleeve. Anyone have any luck finding a Black sleeve for this?

Nope, Sorry to say I Google searched till my queries ended and put in different queries also. No Joy, just skins for 100's and 150's, (or the Leather one I Linked on page 12). Nuts !! :(

I just don't get that they don't make one for the 30w???

Yeah, I know. Like I said b4, They clone every thing else over there, so why not the mini 30 skins ? That one has me really stumped. Anyways, Glad that they sent you a Black one.

I take my battery out when the "Low Batt" warning comes on. I check it with a DMM and the batt's come out to 3.18v to 3.20v at the 12w setting that I use. I've read on Battery University that as long as you don't dis-charge below 2.5v then your OK. I've been doin it this way since day one and no problems, so far. I do the same with my Sig. 50 Vr2. I use Samsung 25R's and VTC 4's. Thats since Feb of this year BTW.
