@yzer thanks for mentioning where the inexpensive V5 could be had at. My finger hovered over adding one or more to the cart for a while before I finally decided on passing.

Between the Mini, newly purchased v3's and my lone V5 I tend to like the V5 the best but I guess not enough to add more to my collection. I've been using all three a bunch in the last few days/weeks. I've re-retired most of them as I've become to accustomed to TC regulated vaping and higher airflow/output atomizers.

While I was able to hit >=1.2ohms on the STM+rba (I have a 2.2 stuffed into a Lemo clone) running anything but a K1 or nautilus mini in VV/VW mode is less than satisfying for me.

I guess I really need to go shopping for some 28-34AWG Kanthal A1. The SS430 I've been using requires to many wraps to (even fit) hit the minimum resistance.

    27 ga in nice.

Sigelei made a vented top cap that cures the "gap" problem in many instances. The top of the 510 connector is level with the top of this vented cap and the vented cuts are below 510 top level.

Don't expect e-cig vendors to be able to communicate information that is accurate enough to describe this stock Sigelei part. Most e-cig online store vendors are knuckle-dragging ...... that never completed high school. They are quite happy to run whatever HTML pages they can rip off for free on the internet for use on their online store sites.

Most online e-cig vendors can't provide accurate descriptions of their product. This is evident most recently in the Sigelei V5 sold by Madvapes. It's a nice Sigelei V5 for the price but it doesn't include the cell phone charger (as described) or the vented top cap and includes both battery caps and laser logos (as not described).

Photo below from the Vapor Room 909 Sigelei V5 I purchased in December of 2015. The web site page made no mention of the slotted top cap.

I noticed that they don't give out any information so you can make a more informed choice

I finally drained a Nautilus Mini tank mounted on my V5 with dual 18350's. There is a little amount of battery left (1 bar?) so it might be good for a few nights (night stand duty) but it seems that 2ml is about as much as one could hope for on a set of batteries.

It is good to get some use out of my collection of 18350's. Besides the v5 in the bedroom I have a Vamo v10 in the "throne room". The latter has a STM mounted and usually goes weeks (months?) between charges or refills. ;)

I was happy with the Madvapes V5 deal. The Sigelei arrived on the fifth day after ordering. No issues using a CC. They still have the SS V5 in stock for $14.99.

GeorgeS: when my V5 battery gauge shows 1/3 left the 18500 is almost at 3.4V and will soon show the LOW VOL message. This seems a little counterintuitive but I got used to it pretty fast.

Good to see some activity here. Was mixing some juice today and tasting with my mini dripper on the V3. Made some pretty tastey orange marmalade. Can't wait for it to steep.

Picked up two SIDs today for $5 each. Just cuz I could. Finally got my two Vamo V5s the other day. Really pleased with them.

Anyone interested in checking out a decent sale? EVERYTHING in clearance is 50% off the price shown. Deducted automatically at checkout. Not much for Mods but a ton of RDAs.

SMOKTech SID [Purple, White, Black, Silver]

Oh and $3 flat rate shipping. Sale ends at midnight tonight

Yeah, didn't really think about how late it was when I posted. Still some great prices on some dripper clones even without the 50% off. At least I guess they're good prices. Never considered any drippers other than my mini that I use for DIY tasting. I was after the SIDs at 2 fer $9.99. Also wanted a couple Ehpro KF Lite +clones for the same price, but they were already gone when I got there at 2:30am.
I finally threw a build in that Lemo that my B&M store owner gave me a few months ago (while saying he'd never be able to sell the *relic* anyway). Really liking it at 1.4 ohm, 10-12w. I don't have anything that will fire lower than 1.2:D except maybe my Istick mini 10w. Read one review where it said the person fired a .8 on a mini?
Anyway, I'm liking my free black Lemo enuf that I ordered silver one off Fleabay for $13.99 shipped since I missed out on the KFs.

I'm actually experiencing a "clash" of sorts with technology here. While my Sigelei tube mods and Vamo v10 want 1.2ohms and above to fire my new fangled DNA75 wants less than 1.4ohms to fire. Thankfully I have a bunch of devices to build on. :)

My nightstand v5 did make it through another night. (only 10-20 draws/puffs a night) but I'll be swapping the 18350's out this AM.

I'm trying to resolve/summarize my dislike for the Nautilus/v5 and after thinking about it, nether were really to blame for my venturing into other vaping gear.

The fault I had with the Nautilus was mainly with the lifespan and inconsistency of the coils. The VVTF v1 'RBA' (and clear unflavored juice) has mostly fixed that issue which leaves the seemingly dismal 2ml tank capacity at fault. However that can be mostly averted by using higher mg juice.

My v3's, v5 and Vamo v10 all have the same issue as the rest of my single 18650 collection - meager battery life. The low output (<15W) devices suffer equally as much as the higher output devices. The only exception here is the P4U 7-22 which sports a 26650 battery.

Last but not least is the form factor. While in a single 18350 configuration the tube mods (along with smallish tank) are fairly 'pocketable' the 7-22 is a beast best left at home. Here's where the itty bitty box mods really shine.

I felt that I was quite lucky that my last order of iStick 20W clones will actually fire down to 0.5ohms (at reduced wattage) making their match up with a wider range of tanks and builds than the Sigelei tube mods.

It is good to see that there is still interest in these now discontinued products. Funny that many sites still sell "pen mods" that are ether fixed or "twist" to adjust their output and the low power replaceable models (like the v3 and v5) are in the clearance bins.

I guess that modern vapors go from Pen mods directly to VTC Mini's and Pico's these days.

watch the threads on the smok products Foggy, if you have a 510 adapter to keep on it that would help
Thanks for the heads up. I do have a couple adapters. I doubt the Smoks will see much use. Just got them for my *el cheapo* collection mostly. Then again the claims of the light weight construction do have me curious about them. We'll see.

I can get over 2 full days using dual 18350's. No comparison, imo, that's the only way to go. With a single 18350 I needed to switch out batteries at least 4x's per day. My nautilus shines on zmax more than any other device. I was thinking of trying the vvtf v2 rba although I'd still prefer not to coil my own. I have no room for fiddly little bits.

Dual 18350 will last at least twice as long as a single 18650.. 2½ if your running up near 15w. The mod will pulse at 7v instead of 6v. So you will be running the power a few watts lower than normal because it's actually putting full power into the coil without sag or voltage loss.

You will be able to go up to 28w, in voltage mode at 6v with a 1.3 ohm coil with fresh batteries. The amperage is 4.6 amps or 2.3 each battery.. (this has been tested) Much more efficient than a single battery.. There is no comparison to running stacked, that's a fact.

I'm sorry but the math and the reality just don't add up.

I was able to get ~2ml of Nautilus mini goodness out of the 2x700maH 18350's while I can generally get almost 2 tanks out of an LG HG2 (3000mah 18650).

Ether case, if I'm using a v3 or v5 constantly I'll be swapping batteries after 5-8hrs of use. A single 18350 is good for a few hours tops. (need to carry box of 4).

Hence one of the reasons I've migrated to dual 18650 mods and single 26650 mods. The same (similar) Nautilus tank on a P4U 7-22 pulled the battery down a mere 0.4V after being vaped empty.

(I usually run my Nautilus tanks at 4V or 8-12W (the 7-22 only has wattage mode)).
