Sigelei Zmax V5

I found my new Sigelei Zmax V5 in my mailbox late Monday evening, and it easily became the flagship of my Sigelei mods in short order.

It came in via a preorder from White Stag Vapor I signed up for back on 7/17 (and for a very reasonable price). This was my first experience with WSV and it proved them to be a great supplier to deal with. I got excellent communication and exceptional customer service from Thom and Ryan. And it was shipped about when he had anticipated it would be. It came as just the device with two caps for different length batteries in a Sigelei box, and the new option 9 cell phone charging device.

This is my first VV VW, all new ground for me. So please take that into account. And being fairly new to vaping I really have nothing on hand to compare it to other than my other 3 Sigelei mechanical mods and Halo gear.

With some trial and error and help from local ECF member Renzuli it didn't take too long to figure out the menu and I soon had it in operation with a Kanger Pro tank 2. First try was a steeped new 30ml batch of DIY liquid I had made up from a 5ml test batch that turned out pretty good. The being able to optimize the liquid thing sure made a huge difference over this same liquid in the other mods and Halo gear... WOW! Have also been running an EVOD on it with another of my DIY liquids... another WOW!

I really like the look and feel of it and have been running it 18350 so far for the compactness. The screen is very easy to read even with these old eyes, and now that I am confident with the menu it is very easy for me to use. I can see now why I heard and read so many positive reviews about the Sigelei Zmax line.

Glad you like it. I got mine about a week and a half ago from ExhaleVapors. It has become my favorite mod. It's my 4th Zmax and by far the best. Many ppl don't see the point in getting the V5 over the V3 but they're are almost exactly the same price with alot of improvements over the previous models. Some can debate whether the added features or menu improvements are worth buying the V5. The removable top cap, battery indicator on main screen rather than scrolling to menu 4, puff counter, puff timer, and external charging attachment are all great additions. Not to mention the resistance scrolling issue from previous models. I haven't used mine in 18350 setup yet for 2 reasons. 1st being that 18650 setup is still relatively compact and 2nd I'm still running the same battery I put in it last Wednesday. Now keep in mind I only use it at home when I get out of work. That contributes to the same battery lasting so long but still says that the use of battery is very efficient. I'd highly recommend this mod over many of the others that are currently available in a similar price range.

Has easily became my favorite too. I almost have to make myself use the #19E and #8W (still haven't used the #20 yet), and I only use the Halo G6 w/mini tanks when I go out for walks since I have a neck carrier I can put two of them in. Have been running my V5 18650 the last couple of days, like that better than the 18350 config I started out with.

The size in 18650 setup is still pretty small compared to all my other regulated mods.. It's actually the same size as my SVD in 18350 mode. I also do the G6 with a mini tank for when I'm out..

I wanted a Zmax for a little bit and I only ordered a V5 because the "Ooo, Shinny" gene kicked in. I like the V5 and I figure that any bugs in the V3 would be ironed out. Its a nice piece and I use it regularly, but I also didn't really look at the features,so.....

Wheres the puff counter? The puff timer? Can you save the counter or does it reset. How about if you could post the directions or user manual?

I've never seen an instruction manual for any Sigelei. What I did is watch a video review of the V3 that included the menu and went from there to figure the V5 out.

Nev NYC, correct me if I am off base...

With the option 6 LCD ON and option 1 Out ON, when you fire the device the puff counter comes up bottom right on the display. When you remove the battery it resets it to zero. The Timer is in option 5. To use it while taking a toot you need the display up to see it (obviously if you fire with your thumb the display will be down).

I found the counter. I really don't care about a timer, just thought I'd ask. Over all I like the unit, especially the battery indicator. I use it in the 350 mode because it fits in my pocket better. Being able to take the top of is a usefull feature. I don't care too much about the charging my phone bit. I just thought any issues with the V3 would be worked out in the V5.

Its a nice little unit, great for the I just want a good simple to use mod crowd, like me.

I didn't care about the phone charging or timer either, but the improved menu and removable heap cap is nice. I'm in the same group as you other than the DIY liquids I've been doing and I am starting to build coils. A couple of atty's for it is next.

Send them an email. They're quick with their response time. They might have an issue with confirmation on your address. I've had that happen with them before. They usually ship same or next day. I receive my orders from Austin TX to NYC in 3-4 days from them. I hope you ordered before they raised the price. Less than a week ago the V5 was $53 including shipping. I think it's about $60 now but they've already sold out.

Thanks for the pics, I'm pretty stoked about getting my V5...the V5 was actually cheaper at Vapor Tek then what I could find the V3 for anywhere else. Got a couple of 350 batteries for less bulk, but even with the 650's it's smaller than my Vamo.

Im really thinking the v5 will be my 3month smoke free reward to myself...I was looking at the SVD and the Vamo's, but for some reason Im really liking the Sigelei.

Torn between black and tarnished. Gothic Vapor has the kit with batteries and charger for $78 I think it was.

Should be a good first mod I think.
