I keep forgetting this thread is here until I notice it on my feed. A while back I got a Zmax v3 at a site (can't remember) that was 9.99 when I started my stockpiling and thought it so cool I got another. Heavy sucker, but seems to be made well.

Hey Bonski. How y'all doin? I see ya round here and there. Ya Come a long way since the time that guy told ya the Z3 was a mech. DIYing now? I think you've done some rebuilding too, right?
Ha ha, you remember that? Yeah, I was a lost puppy then. Learned a lot pretty quick. :) Building my own coils now, DIY and know what a mech is.

When he said that I didn't know what a kick was but knew they were used in mech mods so it freaked me out. Now I own two mech mods and have kicks and fuses.

Lol! You go girl! Ya done passed me up already. Still don't own a mech. Just don't wanna have to think that hard. But I was hoping to win one in a contest that just ended. So who knows, maybe I'm about ready. But for right now I'm infatuated with the iCare.

Well Aik, did you get one..inquiring minds want to know:)
Nope. Too much financial rl going on right now. I'm moving and don't want to miss shipments, which has happened.

I did break down and grabbed an icare after one morning where nothing was ready to go; dead batteries, no atty messages, one tank leaked everything in minutes. WTH and all at the same time? My .... was saved by an old, old 650mah ego and evod I didn't remember I kept. Sometimes simple is good. Somedays need a 14 bay charger with 10 usb ports on the side that'll fully charge in 15 min.

Received an icare from a friend not too long ago , came in handy Thursday ( had an appointment at the courthouse, had to leave my gun with the officer but Vape gear allowed) nice Vape......just today loaded it to a friend and Vape shop owner who was interested in ordering some and hadn't seen one before.......I too still keep egos/ evods in my vehicles.......I'm the guy who has 500 mods and still finds myself SOL at times....so your not alone Aik....

Nothing wrong with employing Evods. I brought a pair of them with me camping this weekend. Good reliable (abet limited) vape. I like to use them while driving. I finally drained the first one this AM and have it on the charger.

I actually found a use for my remaining Segeli213, I paired it up with a KFv5 with a Kanthal build and set to the minimum 10w it's used 20% battery to vape the KFv5 2/3. I think that at this rate I might be able to get two tanks out of a set of batteries.

I've considered restocking my stash of twisters and winders several times with these cheapo sales. Most of my stash has been given out to newbies and they like that form at first. I don't know how long a battery lasts when dormant. It's a hard habit to break when I'm used to having a handful of colorful mods ready. I don't miss charging them. I don't miss them dying at random. I think I only had one that lasted almost a year. Even spending on brands didn't save them from untimely death. Ok. I've just refreshed my memory why I'm not restocking. My first Joyetech 650 ego t kit was around $90 and dead in 2 months. I bought a zmax, vamo and provari next. The vamo split apart at the seams in 6 months of light use. Zmax and provari are still going strong. Everything else is filler.

I will say I'm impressed with build quality of the icares. That's the first time I've said that about an eleaf product. I got black and gold which are metal, the ends are strong plastic, not the cheap brittle stuff I expected. I think the tank is glass. It's mtl. I think dtl is daydreaming. Very stealthy.

Now if only I could get satisfied with a mtl tank that had both mtl coils and rba to replace my beloved nautilus. Sigh. This week I'm trying Melo III with triton coils. It's hard finding tanks with coils over 1.3 ohms. Subtanks are ok, but fiddly. I have GS airs, ego ones, but nothing is measuring up to nautilus (no leaking, longevity, simplicity).

Anyone else use tanks with zmax?

While I don't much care for the meager capacity one of the things I'm liking about the EVOD's is the tank and its silly easy/simple atomizer/coil. Rewick/rewire is a breeze with prewound/wicked NR/R/NR coils from Fasttech.

I figure when the EVOD's die I'll use the tanks on my Zmaxes. The next step up kits I have use Evod twists and Areotanks. I'm also liking those tanks. (has AFC) I have a few SS ones that will look great as well on a Zmax when the twists give out.

Funny, I'd stocked a bunch of Aspire tanks and parts and I'm finding the earlier Kanger stuff easier to rebuild and just as reliable.

I used PT2s on my Zs for quite a while. Never completely got the 510 seepage under control tho. My Lemo RTAs worked well on the Zs also. But the heft and height of the Zs, even in 18350 mode always bothered me. Was very happy with the Lemo and PT2 tanks on a mini iStick 10w and KSD Vamo 25w box for awhile. Then the iCare came along.

Whenever i get tired of the endless variety and complexities of vaping i always fall back on the Zmax and cartotank ( a while back i bought about 1k cartos ) i punch a few holes in one, prime it , fill the tank and im trouble free for a good 2 weeks,,,,,probably the best mtl ive found in all my years of vaping

I liked the aerotank v1 and v2. Use them on isticks. They are 19mm and I wasn't crazy about how that looks on the z. The mega never stopped leaking, gurgling, flooding. Worst tank ever. I have some old Davide in my backups, but still 19mm.

I'm loosing patience on the tank quest. I have some Lemo Drops I got on sale, some kf's (don't even remember which ones) for the stash but honestly, if I have to go full time building it could jeopardize vaping for me. All the fiddly bits/storage is already taxing.

The only reason I picked up higher wattage mods is because the coil issue. It seems there's a real disconnect between mods and tanks offered.

I think my project should be an inventory. I forgot I had a sirrus carto tank and about 4 pks of boge cartos. Cool looking tank that I've never used because new stuff keep coming out. I think I have at least one diver clone too.
