Well, there are limits to what can be done for diagnosing problems on a forum. olefolks, the only thing I can think of for your problem is remembering the times it happened to me. In one case a battery charger had stopped working and I was putting dead batteries into the Sigelei. Using a voltmeter confirmed the batteries weren't getting charged. Another time I put the battery in backwards which is easy to do with flat top batteries. Maybe the Sigelei is fried? Is your unit under a vendor warranty?

Well another revelation. If I press the extreme top of the fire button everything operates properly. So, something has shifted. What now? Sorry for all of this guys.

This is the same issue I had it has to do with the line up of the button to switch. The switch is high on the button and the button has to press on the center of the switch. So by pushing on the top of the button you make a solid push on the center of the switch. That's why I took mine apart again and modded to get the switch lined up centered with the button.

Every button will have a sweet spot depending on orientation of the board. Pushpin the top worked reliably for me. The button line up is like that from the factory. At least my circuit board it was impossible for it to line up right without trimming the board.

Glad to have you here and hope you enjoy the Sigelei. Varitube seems to go the extra mile with their warranty. Do they still treat the tube threads with Noalox for shipping them out?

I'm late too! Last night I purchased the latest version of the Sigelei ZMAX "Mini" w/extension cap, and a ZMAX-V3 solid body. The V3 looks like the V2, but I was reassured it has V3 electronic's from the factory. It's coming in a sealed box, brand new. Has anyone used or seen a V3 with a non-telescoping body? It's a first for me.

Thanks! Enjoying it so far!
It doesnt appear that they do anymore. (was only a little disappointed about that & lack of personal note. However, I'm sure they have grown a lot more in business since then. And they still ship pretty much immediately & also replied quickly to a couple questions I had.)

Now the hunt for a good topper(s) for it begins! :) Have had my eye on the IBTanked tanks but have never even tried a carto tank yet!

I haven't heard of a non-telescopic V3 here yet but that doesn't mean Sigelei isn't producing one. I don't see one at the official Sigelei site.

ZMAX_SIGELEI Electronic Cigarette -

Actually, what makes a V3 a V3 isn't the electronics. The electronics are the same as V2 (which is non-telescopic). There are spelling and display changes in the menu with the latest V3 firmware version SI V1.5a.

So, the biggest changes with the new V3 happened about the same time as the firmware upgrade. These are mechanical improvements to the display mount, circuit board mounting, one-piece stainless steel 510/eGo threading and addition of a removable top cap.

Major changes with the V3 electronics didn't happen. When electronics changes were made it was with the introduction of V5 (also telescopic). Those changes were required for the ninth menu function and other display changes. V5 has firmware version SI V2.0a.

So, it will be interesting to see what features you have on a non-telescopic V3. Keep us posted!

I wondered how long that additional service would last. It takes time to apply the Noalox. I can't say enough good things about IBtanked. You just need to be careful about dropping one. I broke one glass tube by dropping it to a travertine floor while washing it in the kitchen. They are glass and glass and will break. The good news is the glass tubes are inexpensive to replace (about $5). It's the stainless steel endcaps that cost money but they last forever.

It did come w/ a little card saying that it had passed inspection though.

I really like the looks of the IBTanked and keep hearing about their quality. Def leaning towards one after I try out a cheap carto tank to see how I like that setup. So many cap options on them too! Might have to get a cpl.
Also need a drip shield for incoming atty. (excited to expand out of the world of only clearo's...especially w/ my new Zmax!)

This is the 19 mm XL I use sometimes. Most of the time I use 22 mm XL which holds 5 ml of liquid. This shot shows the thin stainless steel endcaps that you can get from IBtanked. The black washer is a soft plastic that fits between the end of the glass tube and the end cap for shock absorption. The inner black bands are O-rings.

I didn't see one on their site either. Kinda makes me wonder if I'm not really buying a V2. I've got a telescoping V3 flat top, which is awesome. I saw the "V3" kit last night on ebay, made the guy an offer he accepted. I can't link it on my phone. I definitely should have researched it more before buying it, it was late and I was tired. I did a few searches today and found a vendor in Europe selling what looked to be the same thing, claiming they were discontinued, being replaced by the telescopic version. Hope I didn't get burned by my lack of research. I guess I'll know more in a few days when it arrives! Thanks for your input yzer, much appreciated!

Thanks for the pic! Love the look of those tanks so much! Look really nice on the Zmax too! Like how u can easily/cheaply change looks of it w/ different colored O-rings. Curious to see how the 22mm tank looks on it now! :)
