I new they were crapola!, That settles it, I'm dumping my collection, worn out threads will not be tolerated at 75-85 years of age.....It's the uncertainty......At least with the smok Z's you could count on the threads wearing out in a week or two along with the centerpin, now that's at least predicable! . .. Well, I know one thing, the Sig Zmax will certainly outlive the provari service department

Sigh. Provari was a surprise announcement. Those were my forever backup devices. At least with zmax, there's a lot of diy experts on keeping them going. I don't think that's the case with provari's.

After one year of vaping have amassed enough stuff where I shouldn't have to buy anything this year and that includes juice. Batteries perhaps, but the 26650's get charged so seldom now it is hard to imagine them wearing out for a long while. Have not even shopped the 2017 sales. I guess in time o-rings go bad and fail but short of accidents or carelessness just going to sit back and vape what I have for a while. Heck Doc, even the Seven-22 is still going strong and was only expecting a month or two out of it. BTW, thanks for keeping thread alive.

Oh my goodness! I've been at it nearly 2 years now and amassed a huge collection of great mods thanks to Doc and the other folks in this thread and thier knowledge of where to find great clearance deals.
Unfortunately over the past few months I've been bitten by the sub ohm bug rendering nearly everything I've got useless! Really been bothering me to have a cabinet full of devices just collecting dust. Made up my mind yesterday that I'm going back to 1.4 ohm so that I can grab any mod I want and fire it up. l luckily have finally found my tank for the ages in the EGo ONE Mega V1 with it's rebuildable CLR coils. Great everyday workhorse tank that can be built to be whatever I want. A little hard to find but still available on some clearance pages at a good price. Have 3 now another due for delivery Monday and 2 more on the way after that. About 15 or so CLR coils so far. I'm thinkin I'm pretty well set for the rest of my vapin days.

I'd say foggys on the fence, I've been a dual user( MTL/ DL) for years.....I like different vapes at different times...... Honestly , I wish I didn't amass the collection I have and stayed with simple devices, lower wattage, higher ohm......But my problem is I like to collect and need a vapemail fixx frequently.....I truly envy the guys that are happy with a kayfun, a provari, or ZMax and basic DIY juice

Yup, but the ego one tanks work well at 1.3 ohm 12 watts with DTL airflow.

LOL,yeah that's one way to put it! TC just lacks the "Crescendo" of a straight power mode vape. To be fair, I only tried it for a couple of hours. Just long enough to be bored with it.

Have had lots of dry hits here. Usually it's atomizer whispering "time to clean me"... It's the burnt hits that really suck. Kinda like "OK big dummy, you asked for it!".

Since switching to rayon which IMO is much more forgiving than cotton, when dryish hits start getting more frequent the coils are usually a glucked mess. Will admit to pushing them to the max more often than I should. Procrastination main reason and sloth is one of the seven deadly sins. Hmmm, time to get out the cleaning kit...

I have to be careful of over filling my eGo ONE tanks. If I fill to the brim they wanna vacuum lock and wick can't draw jooce. Usually get a little dryish warning first and just need to do a couple primer puffs. No big deal.

Have had a few memorable dry hits....A rite of passage..... I guess if you haven't had a tank leak all over, a mod crap out, a dry hit, a broken glass ( and no extra) etc....You haven't been Vaping long enough!

Equipment failure is a rite of passage too.

I tried sub ohm, wasted a lot of money imo, and went back to m2l. I don't see an advantage of tc for my style of vaping. It makes it more complicated and for me, that's a reason to smoke. Even the menus to bypass tc drives me nuts. I am just not interested in most of the new gear anymore. I wish older stuff would appear in the classies more often.

Foggy's right about the eggroll being a great little tank though.

I don't think I could go back MTL if I wanted to. Been after more and more air ever since I was drilling out the center pins in my Evod/PT2 coils. I'm likin where I'm at right now. Tootle powered DL hits with clouds just dense enuf to be a real PITA when you need to see what yer doin. Don't need sub. TC is kinda pointless unless you just don't wanna pay attention to what yer doin.

AAARRG! Speakin of crazy menu systems, I've got a Smok R-Steam Mini that drove me crazy with its scrolling menu. Finally just made it my dedicated battery charger. If it don't do 5 clicks on 5 off, watts/volts up + down I don't need it!

Funny the VV works just fine. Loved the Provari 2.5.

I guess I've moved away from my "tube" mods. The only thing 'tubeish' in current use is a pair of EVOD's.

I also like 'boring'. Almost all are setup with TC wire on box mods. Even an old Nautilus is outfitted with a VVTF RBA with a TC build+Silica wick (+8mo's and still going strong!).

Looking across the room there are two Lemo2's and a KFv5 in use. All of which could easily be rebuilt with +1.4ohm builds and driven by a Zmax.

I just find the little box mods to be more pocketable.
