No kidding! I usually hit it once, exhale thru my nose while taking a second and hit the 10 sec. or so cut off. But I'm usually good. Need more, just double tap the button and keep going. I believe the cut off is based on the current draw so a higher resistance atty/cart will go longer than a low resistance atty/carto.

Supplier shipped my replacement so I'm hoping it's the V2 with the EGO threads and one piece head- maybe try a Kanger or something someday.

Get the Kanger Protank! The T3 and MT3 both end up with the knurled bases below the center cone line. So if you twist it on too tight and can't get a hold of the base when trying to get the Kanger off, you'll only unscrew the tank portion and end up with liquid on your slacks while your co-workers all point and laugh TWICE!! :(

I just tighten them enough to get the connection and not more.

ROFLMAO - I'll keep that in mind. :) I've heard both good and bad about the Pro Tank, (got an Igo-L because of Phil & love it!), thoughts? I'm guessing you like it?

I did order it, but I cancelled because apparently there first two or three manufacturing runs had about 20% of them with a leaking seal between the tip and glass. It was toss-up in terms of what you were going to get. I'm waiting until either DiscountVapors or ExhaleVapors gets a hold of it to try again.

Instead I just ordered a backup AGA T+. You know how it goes, get all set to buy something you really want - out of stock and so just buy something else instead :)

Never had either one of mine cutoff on me yet though, I get enough of a hit with the Provari not to drag as long as I have to with the same voltage setting on the Sigelei. Maybe there's more air coming in with the vapor... Anyway, I'm sending mine back. It's too far below my Provari's in vaping quality for me to get used to even with the VW which is the reason that I bought it. I could never find a sweet wattage spot that I liked:(

Got the Sigelei Zmax in stainless about 2 months ago. Was very happy with it as it seemed very solid and loved the VV/VW features. Unfortunately the 510 connector came completely out of the unit after about 1.5 months. It appears the piece with the threads inside the catch cup is actually a separate part and is just press fit into the top and it worked itself loose over time. No drops, everything finger tight, no abuse. Sad face....

Is that the v1 or version2?

RMA Update: Totally Awesome response from the supplier - they shipped me a complete kit with a brand new Zmax (Ego threads), 18350 batteries, charger and clearomizer! The folks at smoktek.com seriously rock!!! Customer service above and beyond considering their website said only 30 days on the warranty! I was expecting a refurbished unit like the one I sent in at best.

Nice!! I think I will be ordering my SS mesh form there. Good to know they have great service, thanks for the update.

"Is that the v1 or version2?"

It was advertised as "V3 with the 8th menu option" but I believe it is actually a V1.5 or 2. It's newer than the first one PBusardo reviewed with a hole in the center pin and older than the newest with the added ego threads being the 2.5 or 3 so mine was in between the two.

Definitely not a V2 as there doesn't seem to be any eGo threading.

I think it goes like this:

V1: PBusardo review (hole in POS post)
V1.5: No hole in POS post
V2: eGo Threading with 15mm opening for stardust type clearos
V2.5: 16mm opening for T3 type Clearos

Unfortunately I got the V2 a week before the 2.5's started shipping and can't use my T3 on it but I have a new iTaste MVP that it works great on now so whatever. ;-)

Crikey! How many revisions are they going to make?? I'll have to check the opening size to see if it's 15 or 16mm. Never used any of the Stardust or T3 clearos any recommendations? I've heard of a lot of leaking, breakage and such.

And all this from a device that has only been on the market some 4 months or so!!! All this could've been avoided with just a little marketing research.... SCARY!!! Even scarier is that there are some people that own all 4 of them!!! The only marketing research they did was how to take people's money in a quick manner....

I've used an MT3 on mine (with adapter because mine is the 15mm version) and I regularly use a Vision Vivi Nova on it, no issues to date and I love them both.

I like the fact that they are revising on the fly and constantly putting out a better product. On the other hand I hate that they aren't tagging them with proper version numbers so there can be a repository for this info and so you can know what you are purchasing. Once I found out there were multiple revisions I purchased because the site I went through specifically said they shipped whatever the current model was (and they did). It isn't the vendors fault an new revision came out a week later.
/facepalm

All that being said I'm am very happy with what I have I just wish it could natively fit my MT3 but oh well.

I might try an Evod, folks seem to like them even though they're smaller.

I like the fact they are learning and revising on the fly as well, striving to make a better product. It does suck when you find out you got the last vs. current version though.

Just got my Vmax 2.5 this Saturday. It is my first mod and I am loving it! I got to impatient to save up for a provari mini but I dont regret my choice at all. Running a nova on it now but will start carto tanks soon.

I loved mine until the connector popped off and then I was very critical of the quality. (in case you couldn't tell :) ) As stated above I'm glad they're getting better and if the quality of my replacement holds out, I would recommend the device. Time will tell....

So I just got my ZMax 2 and its amazing. It came with 18650 2200 mAh Batteries. Just wondering how high mAh I can go. I see a few 18650 4000+ mAh batteries for sale on ebay. Will they be compatible with the unit? Also where can I get a mod for it? Maybe a brass end cap

mAh is a rating, it only tells you how much charge you can expect per hour in one complete charged cycle. You could theoretically use an infinite mAh in the zmax since it has built in cut off circuitry. 2600 mAh should last you a whole day if not more. This of course greatly depends on how much you vape and at which voltage/wattage you vape at. I have two 2000 mAh and my batts can last 2-3 days each.

if you have a lathe sitting around and some brass blocks, you can probably make your own mod? Otherwise the only things Ive heard of so far are J-Skins, basically a wallpaper for your zmax.
