I know you talented guys are aware of GIMP but I'll mention it anyway. :)
Tried it once...didn't like it. It's like driving in a country that uses the other side of the road. Nothing inherently wrong with it, but if you've spent your entire driving life on the other side, it can be challenging.

By the way, I love the addition of the ProVari to your Avatar, PoM. It's a nice touch.

If enough people are interested, I could do a basic tutorial blog post and share my master Provarinati .png files (basically, all the Provarinati logos we use).

Yes, please!! :)
I have to do some juice reviews in the next week or so, so nothing is going to get done fast.

If a few more people express interest, I'll do some blog posts demonstrating the basics, and some of the more interesting techniques I use. If people just want the files, I can send them via DropBox.

I'm afraid that was all self taught.

It does not require a $1,200 purchase of Adobe Photoshop. I use Adobe Photoshop Elements 11. I downloaded it last summer from the Adobe website on sale for $45 at my boss's request, for editing photos of samples.

The program impressed me so much, I downloaded a copy of it for myself as well. Adobe offers 2 week free trials, and free online instructional videos so if anyone is interested, I encourage them to give it a try. I'm always learning something new and improving my techniques, as looking at my earlier signatures tends to make me wince and shake my head now.

I just learned how to do vape smoke from DoogieTony (in the REO forum) a day or two ago. :)

I'm VERY interested!!! But how basic is basic. I would need Sigs for Dummies training. Heeheheheehhehe. Oh and something that can be used on either a worthless IPad or even more worthless...Windows Vista which is about the worst on the entire planet to use.

If you decide to do a tutorial...please keep us posted!!!

Windows Vista?? Oh my...you should just buy a new computer...:) Photoshop Elements (which is what PoM uses) won't work on the Ipad. :(

Thank you! I'll PM you for the files...but the tutorial will be great...I'm in the process of teaching myself PE right now...

I know..it's the worst. I HATE it but when my computer crashed years ago..that was the option then. Of course it was only out for a hot minute cuz everyone hated it.

I'm gonna get a new/used lap top soon so hopefully doing stuff like sigs and such will be easier cuz right now, it's a struggle just to get on my email.

This is basically what I bought to replace my PC several years ago. Mine came with 2 GB Memory and a 320 GB Hard Drive. I upgraded the memory to 8 GB RAM. I wanted a Netbook, but also wanted a full size keyboard, so this fit the bill nicely.

One Walmart's site they show the screen displaying Windows 8, but it says it comes with Windows 7. I really like Windows 7, it's similar to my beloved Windows XP  Anyhoo, this is the computer I use for all my graphic design stuff. The one they sell now has 4 GB of RAM and a 500 GB Hard Drive and a faster processor, so it's a bit of an upgrade over mine.

You do all that graphics work on a Celeron processor? I'm impressed!!! With you not with the processor. :)

I mentioned that particular processor was an upgrade, didn't I? I do it all on a AMD Dual-Core C60 processor (basically an overclocked C50).
My phone has a better dual core processor than my computer does.

Here's a comparison between the CPU's of my computer and the computer I linked to above.

Alright. I'll do it. :) Enough people have asked.

In other news...

All of a sudden, the day before yesterday everyone who was using the "since-my-last..." quit smoking banner in their signature was now promoting an ad for the Zamplebox subscription service in their quit smoking banner. My understanding is that was the last straw and now both the quit smoking banner people were using and this service were blacklisted from ECF.

One of the sigbanner providers has started to package adverts in with their banner, so we had to block it:

since...my...last...cigarette

Sorry about that but it's just more spam. Try an ECF one if you like: ECF Signature Banner Generators

What is the "legal" deal with these banners???? So, PoM made me this beautiful banner (see below) and I also want an ECF Counter Banner to go with it. It says "error" when I try to add the counter. I am an Ultra Member so am I entitled or not? I was told, by a very reliable source here, that I could have 2 but don't know how to go about getting it all up in there.........Does anyone have an answer????

I'm in awe....

That just shows me, here I am with a much stronger system a full fledged Photoshop and I can barely layer.

You go with your system and whip out works of art.

Losing my quit banner finally motivated me to figure out how use a Provarinati sig banner. I hope it's OK that I modified one of the generic sigs a little.

Do what I always do when I have a problem. Go whine at a mod until they do it for me. and I thank them very nicely after they help me, so they will help me again later. ;)

It's fine by me. If you want a full-on custom one, you know who to ask. :)

So THAT'S why there are so many rectangles with nothing in them all over the whole forum. I thought it was just me.
