All right, the blog post for how to add signatures is up and running. I've tried to work on the assumption that people reading it can barely turn their computer on, so if it sounds as though I'm explaining something to a five-year old, that's why. If you have any questions, I will do my best to answer them.

Great! I actually added mine by "save as" so I better fix that up!

Thanks :)
Your signature looks fine. you don't need to mess with it. :)

How about sharing the "secret" of producing the actual banners or is there a fee for that?

I'm afraid that was all self taught.

It does not require a $1,200 purchase of Adobe Photoshop. I use Adobe Photoshop Elements 11. I downloaded it last summer from the Adobe website on sale for $45 at my boss's request, for editing photos of samples.

The program impressed me so much, I downloaded a copy of it for myself as well. Adobe offers 2 week free trials, and free online instructional videos so if anyone is interested, I encourage them to give it a try. I'm always learning something new and improving my techniques, as looking at my earlier signatures tends to make me wince and shake my head now.

I just learned how to do vape smoke from DoogieTony (in the REO forum) a day or two ago. :)

If enough people are interested, I could do a basic tutorial blog post and share my master Provarinati .png files (basically, all the Provarinati logos we use).

I'm a fan of Photoshop Elements, too.
Only thing I know of that it won't do that full Photoshop will is "print ready CMYK" that's the preferred color format for some professional printing jobs. For hacking around with photos like I sometimes need to, it's super!

And you Plan, have a great knack for making things look nice, and quick, too!

Lol! I doubt that would be something that I could handle, but my hat's off to you for doing such beautiful work!!!!!

I'm a fan of Photoshop Elements too. For banners, the full blown package isn't needed. It's easy to grab a background off the web and add the pictures and make it a certain size. What PoM excels at is designing the banners. He's got a gift for it. I've made headers and logos for my friends but it takes me a while to get them right. He seems to be able to envision it all perfectly.

Here's one I was going to use as an example in my tutorial. I've decided not to use it. Freebie time!

I'll take it!

Okay. I figured out what was going on here. Somehow you took my picture and turned it into a "tiny url" link. that site is not allowed on ECF because the url expires and gets used for something else, so forum posts that show kittens frolicking in a field of butterflies suddenly turn into hardcore porn, etc. It also resizes the signature down to a quarter of it's original size.

I talked to Dusty_D and he swapped the signature for the correct one. Thanks, Dusty!

For everyone's future reference, the signatures are already hosted on an image hosting site, Photobucket. I won't delete them, so you don't need to worry about that. Just right click on the picture and select "copy url." That is the URL you will use when putting the picture into your signature.

Edit:

Thank you very much. It is a great honor to be on the cover of such a prestigious magazine. I felt it was important for the world to know that hedgehogs should not be allowed to own humans. Humans are beautiful creatures and should be allowed to roam wild and free, and not be kept in cages and dressed in black rubber zippered outfits.

I let all of my humans go for that same reason...
