with my kr808's that worked and not died i noticed had small fissure cracks in the metal casing which case to much air to be introduced into the chamber and super heated it to die. with my 901s that have died it has been a case of needing more power to get the same hit. taking longer puffs to make up for the increased resistance due to residue build up

On a related note - RY4 tastes so much better (DAMN GOOD) with my new atomizer.... dammit I prob wasted a lot of the taste for the past month :(. Gotta start cleaning my atomizers regularly.
The 801 atomizer I was using finally died (2 months, no cleaning). What I noticed was that the burning taste was very pronounced near the end. List any other characteristics you have experienced with atomizer death.

My 801s sign of imminent death is also this constant burnt taste that just doesn't go away with cleaning - but they are lasting the 2 months very nicely, especially since using any manual switch type of ecigs or mods.

I only start to clean after a couple of weeks to rejuvenate them but not sure if that helped any for that final stretch..

the only atty I ever had die died after I cleaned it, but I've cleaned others so I'm not blaming that... but it still sounds like it's working but I get pretty much no vapor out of it when I use it.

What kind is your PV? I know sometimes I have trouble with "bad" carts where the mesh stuff doesn't contact the atty enough. Or your battery might be low or losing its charge.

Lately I've been having 801 atomizers die without warning. Hit it once and it's good. Hit it again without even putting it down and it's stone cold dead. I've had two of them die in this fashion just this week. One today, one yesterday. Both were only a week or so old and saw alternating use.

Edit: I took down these two recent casualties and found a solder joint to the coil had popped on both of them. Dang lousy chinese crapmanship.

Well, there is some major fire going on in there so those solder points do take a beating. I've only had one die in the 5 months I've been doing this and it was because of a stuck switch on a USB pass.

I have 2 RN4075 (901) atomizers I've been rotating on my ScrewDriver and they both still work. Plus I have 2 standard 901 ones I've been rotating on 2 standard 901 batteries still working. So basically it's four atomizers going on and off for 5 months. I use the SD more than anything. The passthrough that fried the one was a cheapy that PS used to sell.

Exacly what I noticed with my epuffer atty. I ordered and received a 3 pack of new attys the other day and the epuffer has moved back into first place in my standings. I've never once gotten a mouthful of juice with the epuffer. My DSE 801 frequently gives me mouthfuls of juice.

Houdini, how much liquid do you use per day? Can you please detail your atomizer maintenance routine? Thanks.
I have never done any maintenance to anything until this past Sunday. I soaked 2 of my stainless steel atomizers in rubbing alcohol for about an hour, blew them out and dropped about 10 drops of liquid down in them. I did this not because I thought they needed cleaning but just to see if it made any difference. I did notice little particles in the alcohol and it turned a bit brown but as for performance, there was slight improvement. I got a couple 30ml bottles of juice this past Monday. I only opened one and have been using that only and the SD only and have used half of it. So 15ml of juice in 6 days.

So Houdini can make juice disappear? I would have expected this! :p
