When it goes silent, does the mod say that you have an open circuit, 0.0 ohms resistance? Is the IPv2 a device where it "does nothing" if you're asking it to operate outside its range? For example, let's say you only want 20 watts on a 0.3 ohm could, that only requires 2.44 volts. But if the IPv2 doesn't operate at 2.44 volts, it has two choices: Either fire at the lowest setting it can, or "do nothing".

Perhaps your build is outside of some range, and it complains?

think you might be right, specs show 3.6volt minimum output.
If thats the case you will need a higher ohm coil or 45w plus for it to be in operating range.

im not too sure and I wouldnt be suprised if it didnt. IPV2 isnt the best made chip, like give it a knock on the bottom and everything resets. arggg click the wattage back to desired 30 watts grrrrrrrrr

It resets after a tap because the battery spring is at the bottom and the momentum of the battery traveling down will momentarily disconnect from the positive, this will be the same as removing and reinstalling the battery. You could check that the spring hasnt sagged too much to avoid this but it could just be that they have a weak spring.
