all i have left is 808 parts but m.v. is out of the 808 box mods so i ordered the 510 box with a 510/808 adapter. will this work ok? like i said, silly question.

yup you just screw the 510/808 adapter onto the finished mod and screw your 808 atty or carto to the adapter. Don't overtighten though 
Please don't say you spent 20 bucks on a box mod kit and adapter. It shouldn't cost more than about 10-11 dollars.
If you are inventive enough you can just use the 808 connector in the 510 box mod. I did just this with an 801 connector. I dont use 510's unless it is in my AVS so I just used an 801 connector that madvapes sells and replaced it with the 510.
