Single coil RTA that is easy to build on and works well?

Right now I'm vaping on a Subtank Mini, and other than an old EMOW that is my emergency backup, it is my only tank. I really like it, and I'm really liking that I can build a coil easily and not have to replace the premade coils every week or more (plus, they leaked!). I like that is a relatively simple and easy deck to build on.

I kind of want to just get another STM as a second tank, since it is what I know. But there is so much out there that I figure there has to be one that is equal to or better.

I would prefer:
-single coil capable, possibly dual coil as well for later on
-easy to fill
-easy to build
-sub-ohm capable
-no fussy juice channels that leak if you don't get the wicking juuuust riiiight
-under $50, preferably under $40

Any recommendations? I feel like I've watched a million reviews and now I'm just lost. I read that the Aromamizer is great, I've seen people say the screws are awful and always cut your wire. Pbusardo said that the Goliath was good, and I liked that you could block off the airflow for the second coil channel if you only wanted to build one, but it looks like a pain to fill and the chimney looks finicky.

The screws on the Aromamizers are very nice. Now I got one of the first run and the post holes were sharp, but I've gotten 3 more since and no issues. And no one else has had an issue either with any later runs. However, its quite a cloud chucker. Did you want that kind of atty?

You might prefer:
1. Nectar clone. So simple.
2. Prometey. Also simple.
3. Taifun GT2. No wick channels.
4. Hurricane. Similar to Taifun.

I'll second the Hurricane (or Hurricane clone...)

Excellent flavor and respectable airflow. A relatively easy single coil build, and super easy, leak-free wicking. The bottom comes out like the Subtank Mini for filling and allows you to work on the wick and coil without draining the tank.

My Fasttech clone has been rock solid and used daily since it's arrival.

Aromamizer, Kayfun, Taifun, Goblin Mini, Goliath V2. Bellus. I think this has great potential with Velocity two post design.

Waiting for my Bellus to arrive

Right behind you...
Pbusardo said that the Goliath was good, and I liked that you could block off the airflow for the second coil channel if you only wanted to build one, but it looks like a pain to fill and the chimney looks finicky.

Goliath V2 isn't THAT hard to fill. I use 80+ VG juice and bottom fill it with regular tip squeeze bottles. It's slower than filling a Subtank, but still doesn't take that long.

Chimney finicky? Never been a problem for me. It's indexed so it only goes in one way. And it's not like you need to mess with it often, assemble it as a piece with the glass and top section and leave it that way, you don't have to take it apart to do new builds, the only time you'll need to tear it down again is if you want to do a complete cleaning. It's very much like your Subtank in that regard.

The real trick for the Goliath is to lube every thread and o-ring on the thing before you first put it back together, and even lube the outside so that juice gets inside the gaps for the airflow and juice control sections. Do that and it operates smoothly.

Flavor kicks the everlovin' snot out of a Subtank, vapor production is great, single coil plug works great, airflow is great, it's very short for a 5ML tank, it's understated yet classy looking, it's easy to build on single or dual, it's easy to wick, it's resistance stable for temp control builds, you can run pre-builts coils if you like (average performance), and it's inexpensive.

Then again, I'm biased, it's my favorite RTA of all time so far, and I've used more than a few. Including the Aromamizer RDTA. The hype on that one is partially real (comparable flavor to the Goliath, the Velocity deck is nice), but it's ugly as hell to me, the rubber airflow ring is a joke, it's tall in 5ML mode, and its not pocket or outdoor friendly at all,(juice leaks out via the airholes when not upright, and dust and dirt gets inside via the airholes, contaminating your juice and your wicks FAR more easily than with a bottom airflow tank, and if you try to seal it via the rubber airflow ring, that craptastic thing just sticks to your pocket as you slide it in and out). That last outdoor/pocket friendly part is a HUGE deal for me, I use tanks for their portability. If it's a stay-at-home desk queen tank, it's not as bad, but I have drippers with superior performance for that sort of duty.

And it's not particularly great as a single coil atomizer either.

Thanks for the info about the Goliath V2.

However I have an authentic Bellus coming. I am writing with bated breath to try that little Beastie. Bellus us the new tank from UD. The company that released the Goliath, Goblin, and my favorite flavor chaser Goblin Mini.

Its the easiest thing in the world. There really isn't anything to go wrong. No vacuum, no wick channels, no perfect wicking. They don't even leak on planes. I met with a member here last Friday who was convinced there was no RTA she could build. Well, she left with my Prometey clone, happy as could be :). I knew once she saw it and the build she would want it. I was prepared and had bought a v3 for a good price so if she did love my clone I could give it to her. So now she has an RTA she can take to work instead of relying on clearos.

Seriously, you just have to wrap your fluff around the chimney stem until you have enough to fill the tank. And get a coil between the posts. Stick a wick in, and put one end on the deck and one sticking up that touches the fluff. Done!

She also liked the Nectar and Le Magister. Same deal with them. Get a coil on and shove the wick into the tank. Done!

My Magister is a clone. There are some minor differences as a friend has both. The clone doesn't have the reducer for single coil. The screws are different, too. I like it, but probably won't buy an authentic unless I see a good deal. Mr. Bashik and I are done due to my issues with him over my Ataman 2, so the only way I was buying the Prom v3 was used.

He answers inquiry emails promptly ;). If you have a problem though, suddenly his English translater doesn't work, then when you persist he can be a jerk. It wasn't just me. A friend also got an Ataman 2 the same day and his ti tank has bad threads. It just spins on the base and can't seal. He got the exact same responses to his problem that I did.
