The only thing which I really don't like on the al85 is the menu system...why not just "5 clicks is off", why do I have to go through the menu...its a PITA.....otherwise it's holding up nicely for me...but I think I would have prefered the pico 25....but it wasn't released yet at the time of purchase

@pufZeppelin or anyone else who has both…I'm considering getting either the P80 or the primo mini. Which do you like better and why?
I have both, and then some lol. As of right now, it's a toss up for me. I like the bar style firing, but it's hard to push, for ME. The Primo Mini, I don't really have anything bad to say about it, it will sometimes take a second push to fire, and that's why I kept buying other mods, but I'm learning that they all do, again, for ME. As I've mentioned before, probably at nauseum bc it's completely relevant to MY vaping, I have a lot off health stuff and my hands aren't very strong, maybe I'm not applying enough pressure to make them fire every single time. I will say that I prefer the menu interface of the Primo Mini, but only bc I was coming from another eVic product, so I'm very familiar with it. I don't have a single doubt about the durability of it, their products are solid! BUT I can't use that as a con towards the P80, I've NEVER used a Wismec product before. I know that I thought I would like the feel of the P80 over the Primo Mini, but I'm finding that that's not really the case, the Primo Mini fills MY hand better, so it is easier on MY hands. I honestly think I may have gotten a defective P80, I've had some strange issues with it, but it's mainly around the firing, so again, it could just be that my hand isn't strong enough for its firing bar. Oh, and I don't trust the finish on the P80 as much as I do on the Primo Mini, but then again, I know eVic products are made to last!
Anyway, that was all probably useless info lol, but that's my thoughts. I took a pic, but I don't remember if it was for this thread or the Primo Mini thread, of the size comparison of the 2, and some other mods.

Yea, that menu makes me crazy lol, I'm intrigued by the Pico 25 myself, but hadn't heard much about it. I'm freaking poor though, I have to take a break from buying lol. The only reason I got the P80 and the AL85 is bc I got emails saying they were on sale, and the impulsive girl in me 'HAD TO HAVE IT!' lol.

Thank you so much for all the great info. Not useless at all. There is nothing more useful than first hand info from actual users.

My Primo fires every time. If it were mine I would have sent it back for replacement. It should fire everytime. I replaced the fire buttons on some older Segelei mods for misfiring. I now stay away from them because they all have misfire issues just after their warranty.

My Sigeleis did that all the time, drove me nuts! I don't think it's an issue with the Primo bc ALL of my mods do it. Otherwise I would have. Plus I have 2 and they both do it, not as frequently as my P80 does, but I really think it's my hands.

I think battery life on the Primo Mini and the P80 are PROBABLY @ the same. I feel like the Primo is just a bit better, but I can't say for sure. When I got my P80 I didn't use the Primo as much and maybe it was bc I was favoring it that it felt like it would die quicker. So I'd say they're about the same.

It could be your hands. Sorry for that. But these mods should not misfire at all. With the replacement buttons I replaced in my Sigeleis I have had no misfires on them to this day. Maybe they use crappy buttons???

haha, I concur with most of the compare comments... :)

I prefer the Primo Mini - think it is JUST , that much better built (all have about same guts J.E.W. joye/eleaf/wismec)

    the Primo mini :
    -fits/fills my hand more comfy
    -has better/more display OPTIONS
    -a better 510 fitting
-a nicer, bigger easier to read screen
    -has a CLOCK (P80 has turn-signal lights)
-believe it gets better battery life (P80 seems to eat batteries faster)
    -fire button easier to push
    -lighter than P80
-almost EXACTLY the same size (Primo mini wins due to the tear-drop taper it has)
-NEITHER have a lanyard hole :nah:

I only bought the P80 because of the novelty of it // I like Joyetech family products, the fire bar, center 510 fitting , price

but make no mistake, the eVic Primo Mini ~ I consider the BEST MOD EVER and is my GO TO device

if you were gonna make a mod, what would you have it do...

    :2c:  :2c:

Well pufZ...I think you may have "sold" me on the Primo Mini...

Their clocks are one of the reasons I love my Evic Basic's...

[When I "retired"...I removed my wristwatch as I walked out the door.]

[And...I'm not important enough---in the flow of the world---to ever consider purchasing a cell phone.]

Is $28.40 (with coupon smokstore_5%) a pretty good price???
