I am having a problem with login too. I've logged in now about 10 times and I don't have to leave the site for this to happen. I know you are working on things and this is probably one of them...

Also, it seems my latest posts are all going to Helena Handbasket? They don't show up when I click my own User Name at my avatar and view (my) posts. I can't seem to bring up My Posts (I just get a list of all the threads I've posted in).
Another thing (sorry!) if I click View First Unread post link when I'm at a thread (that I've already read before), it never goes to the first unread post, just refreshes to the first page of the thread.
Is this all connected to the missing User Name thing or just a little bump for now?

I think it first goes to the first post and then redirects to the "first new post". At least, it is what happends to me.
Not sure whether it's the same thing, but what I'm seeing is that the final URL with the page anchor is there in the location bar, but then it redirects (possibly using JavaScript) to the final URL without the page anchor. Just watch the location box while a "...new-post.html" link is loading.
Tried this again from my subscriptions page and works for me as I said. The next time I'll grab the URLs and post them here.
By the way, I think that percent character (%) is not displayed correctly. At least in old posts.

Thanks ped...Thankfully I'm not toooo old to learn new tricks, but this is just frustrating since I use the feature all the time.
When I click on my email notifications it is taking me to the first page of a thread instead of the last.
that's the only thing that is bothering me, the system does not remember the last post i read, it always takes me to the fist post

alex seems to be making headway big time. columns are now lining up properly without cutting off the last characters. definitely starting to look good!
Suggest losing the 'thumbs up' "Like" facebook thing at the top right above top post window. The vapid "Be the first of your friends to like this."

Agree with this option. If you want to keep facebook like connection, the button could be compacted and moved to the thread menubar, where linkback, thread tools, etc. are placed.
Last night, I and a bunch o' other folk were getting kicked off ECF, and it would look like ECF was down for anywhere between a minute to over 15 minutes. I didn't detect any particular pattern, other than my building frustration.
I would run tracert when this happened, and it seemed like there was a naked singularity right where ECF hops to liquidweb.com. I would see 2 liquidweb hops , then nothing. A "healthy" tracert shows a 3rd liquidweb hop, then ECF.
No idea if this is at all helpful, or if you have any control over that, but thought I'd pass it along. I captured a "healthy" trace, and if I get dropped again under similar circumstances, I'll capture a "sick" trace, if for no other reason than to just have them.

Thanks to everyone on the ECF for all of their hard work, looks great! However 2 days ago my profile started showing somebody else's and NOT MINE!!! Has this happened to anybody else, or just me? This has caused much confusion and worry for my friends, and transactions on ecf that I've making in the classifieds! Can somebody PLEASE HELP? Thank You!!!
I actually noticed this specific issue with your profile a few hours ago, I do have a message in to Alex to resolve this for you soon.
i believe hellen a handbasket had the same problem, not sure if hers was fixed
