Every night about 11 PM I get network timeouts. I get booted off for 10 minutes or so. Last night I had 2 within 5 minutes of each. I know a lot of people aren't having these.

zelda, if it is a network timeout it might be your provider. have you checked that?

Hi Tib!! waving! It's only ECF - every other site loads fine. The pages get "jumpy' then I'm off.

Let's say I'm reading a thread in the classifieds. At the bottom of that thread, I want to be able to click one button that takes me back to the classifieds section. Not to the top of the thread and not a dropdown menu where I have to scroll to the classifieds forum.
If I just click "back", it doesn't show the thread I was just reading as "read" unless I refresh. It should be in the quick navigation area.

That happened to me the other night...15 min later all was well and has been ever since...
Unfortunately, User Notes won't be making a comeback in this version of the forum. If you wish, I can provide you with a text file of what you used to have in your User Notes. Just shoot me a PM and let me know what email address to send the file to.

Yeah... everyone loves the winky! I love mine for sure .. just can't use it on ECF yet...
Am I the only one who wants this back? Every other forum I've ever been on has it and this one used to. The way it is now makes it cumbersome.
Well, it's not at the bottom, but up top there's the "forum path" where, in this thread for example, it says:
*Forum *Announcements *Site Feedback and Help *Site Upgrade - The Aftermath
and you could just click on "Site Feedback and Help" to go back to the sub-forum. If the powers that be are so inclined, maybe Alex could just put this same line at the bottom of every page, as well.

lgd, as the crusader for the blue winky you can do better than this, can't you, or is your signature without meaning?
we so counted on you to lead the troops to bring the little blue guy back home to ecf, lol!
I miss the blue winky but I still can't figure out why I keep getting connection has timed out. Tonight I got it 4 times between 10 and 10:40 lasting about ten minutes each time.
Every night I get bumped off. Usually at least twice.
There must be a solution to this somehow. Yes I know this is my 3rd post about this. I still need help.
