I bought a generic batteryless passthrough but it was poorly designed and had no cord kink protector on the end. The insulation split in a week. I patched it with silicone and it held out for another few weeks but it died today. The only one I've seen so far that actually seems to have a kink protector on it is on madvapes called a sit up and go, but they are out of stock. Does anyone else carry these things?

I am referring to the soft plastic bit right after the plug on a power cord. they generally look like short series of plastic rings. The purpose is to keep the cord from being bent too tightly when they are pulled and breaking the fine copper wires inside the cord.

In this case the kink protector needs to be at the base of the passthrough as well as on the base of the usb plug.

Apple is famous for their inadequate style over function kink protectors which is why apple laptop power supplies always give out right at the base of the plug.
