Let me start by saying that I'm not out to bash anybody... I've been very satisfied with both Gourmet Vapor and Backwoods Brew in the past, and I feel like both companies fill their respective niche quite well.
Since finally discovering my (current) perfect vape (thank you, Inferno-T), my consumption of ejuice has risen and plateaued to the point where I buy two 30ML bottles every 18-21 days. My first two rounds of this order was from GV. It was the first time I'd ever had a 30ML bottle of juice at any time. I noticed that one bottle was slightly more filled than the other.... nothing to get persnickety about.
However, on my second order I noticed the same thing (the bottles were not evenly filled), but also that they were BOTH filled a little bit more than the last order altogether. Suspicious? Yeah, I guess so.
Yesterday, I received two 30ML bottles from BWB. I didn't order from BWB for any other reason other than wanting to change things up a bit. [SIDE NOTE: Don's flavor quality is freakin' impeccable, IMO]. When I opened the package and set the two bottles down, I instantly noticed that both of the bottles were filled to the absolute brim... I had to be careful not to squeeze them too much while they sat on my desk because they would have overflowed.
At first I suspected that they bottles were simply different than GV's -- i.e. GV perhaps used larger bottles. However, upon further examination, both BWB and GV's bottles appear to be very similar in both total size and plastic thickness. In fact, BWB's bottle appears to be slightly larger, if anything.
So I'm wondering: Who's measuring accurately? My guess is that these bottles are built to hold exactly 30ML when they are completely filled, so I doubt that I'm getting bonus liquid from BWB... I'm guessing that I get the 30ML that I paid for. My suspicion is that GV may have some quality control issues and is half-assedly filling bottles, which is shorting me out of liquid. Obviously this could be tested by filling both bottles with 30ML of liquid to ensure that each company's bottle holds the same amount... but I'll have to do that some other time when I'm not sitting in front of my computer being a lazy bum.
Has anyone else noticed these kinds of volumetric discrepancies when ordering juice?
