Hello everyone. I have 3 batteries from Steve, none of them are slotted. I have a bunch of cartomizers (from both Steve and Drew @ NHaler - shoot me, whatever...). Long story short, most of the ones I have from Drew are NOT slotted, so I need a slotted battery to use with them.

Two questions:

Are the new batteries that V4L is selling slotted?

Are all V4L cartomizers slotted?

Thanks!

All of our manual batteries at this point are unslotted, the green auto batteries are unslotted. The white auto batteries are slotted. About 90% of our cartomizers are slotted.

All of my V4L cartomizers are indeed slotted, both very new ones and old ones...they'd have to be in fact to work with the new unslotted batteries...having said that the slot size and hole size in the cartomizers has changed 3x since ive been buying V4L cartomizers.

Steve will happily set you up with a slotted battery, your "unslotted" batteries must be new, that just started lately..3 holes and no slot right? i have heard of "4 holes-no slot" but don't own any of that variation yet.

Unslotted cartomizers??? no slot at all??? wow, didn't know that existed! Ive got some that i wish were slotted a little deeper...but i dont have any without a slot at all...theyre not greencig are they? lol

Tangent: I think that if you try the "staple mod" you will find that it will allow yuo to use the cartomizers on the unslotted batteries.

I'm pretty sure that'll work although with no slot at all, a standard office staple might not quite provide enough airflow..but I know how to find out! Staple away!

Thanks for the comments everyone. Could someone link me the staple mod? I've seen it hundreds of times but never bothered reading, and of course I can't find it now.

edit - oh wow, tomorrow at 6 PM EST I'll hit my 100 day vaping mark! nice!

Congrats! That is awesome! Wish they had had this stuff when I was your age! ;)

Hmmm, I might just try the green auto unslotted batteries! I found the slotted autos too airy for me! Would that be the case Mark? The unslotted auto batteries would be harder draw?

JenJen - I have a blue auto unslotted 4-hole battery that has a hard draw. I don't like it at all. PM me and I'll send it your way.

2 out of 5 Pear-24 carts I got a while ago were unslotted. Was not a biggie though as I was able to loosen them up without loosing battery connection.

All the cartomizers I have had the factory modify, have slots, to varying degree's, I am still working with em to do the side holes correctly, along with the cutoffs, and get me higher end , litium ion battery's.

I have some samples here, trying to decide which I prefer. I think I can get the battery's working will all cartomizers, even w/o slot, in center, as long as side holes provide enough airflow.

Too bad I am not choo choo charlie, yaknow, he was as engineer;)I am just a vapineer:D

Tom,

before you give up, get the glue out of 2 of the holes, and the battery will come to life.....factory screwed up on that one:p

Tell me whatcha think after:lol:

Not sure what you mean. But a while back, I've poked in all 4 holes with a dental pick and there's no glue in any of them. Still pretty hard draw... You guys sent me another replacement with my last order, but the replacement is also a 4-holes, no slot auto batt and has a hard draw too. In my desperation, I tried to dremel a slot onto the post and messed up the batt. I'm not going to ask you for another one bc I'm the one that screwed it up. =)

Speaking of batteries, I noticed there are hardly any autos on the website, and can't find the auto passthru without ordering the mini kit. I LOVE the Autos more than the manuals. I am allowed to vape at work, and use the passthru constantly either at work or home. Use the battery while driving. I get so busy at times I really like being able to pick it up and not have to worry about where the button is! :thumb:

Please tell me you aren't phasing out the autos!!! Please! 8-o
