An 8 dollar saddle valve will solve your problems. Using an emery board to knock off the sharp edges will helps with the slots.

 I need new new O rings and cannot seem to find a vender who sells them. Does anyone know who carries them? I love my boges but this just sucks. I may just have to try a carto punch I guess:(:(

Most any NAPA auto parts store has huge drawers full of orings. Take yours down to NAPA and get a replacement for a few cents. I have had good luck finding any oring I need there. Don't go to AutoZone type parts store as they will look at you crosseyed and want to know a vehicle make, year, and model before they can figure out how to help on there computers. Just an old fashion NAPA store is all you need.

These "Slap Yo Momma" tools, or any of the comparable filling tools will save your o-rings! Very easy to use!

Also, I now drill my carto holes... Punching them with any tool, be it a saddle valve or purpose designed carto punch, was distorting the body too much and made it way too difficult to get the punched area through the o-rings...

Some folks slot their cartos, but I find it's too easy to go overboard. At least with a drill bit you know exactly how big the hole is going to be.

I use a tiny little bit in a dremel tool on one of those little dremel workbench drill press adapters, and have my carto in a cradle to keep it from moving around. A bit over the top for a little hole? Yes... LoL! I'm a perfectionist...

Smok Cartomizer Punch - Mt Baker Vapor - Electronic Cigarettes

Carto Punch Tool

You can get DIY from your local hardware store. If you're all about that, I say go for it.

If you're iffy on the DIY, I suggest the above links. They're specifically designed for stock cartomizers.

EDIT: If you really want ease of use, I also suggest just getting laser-punched cartos from vendors like Smoktech and Boge. I have never bought from Ikenvape but I keep reading good stuff about their cartos. I personally prefer the pre-punched cartos. Just prime, fill tank, and vape. No worrying about where to place the tool and twist the knob.

Really? :-( It's on my wish list. I haven't bought one yet. So I yield to your opinion.

I rely almost solely on my B&M's stock of Smoktech replacement cartos. I just want one of these in my arsenal for that (hopefully very rare) occasion where all I have access to are straight-up cartos.

But then again, plain jain cartos aren't all that bad. I use them for my root beer since it's one of those flavors that, once introduced to a delivery system, just won't go away.

That's been my experience with it. Might work great for some folks, but for me it bends the crap out of the cartomizer. The only thing I've tried that doesn't mess with the cartomizer at all is slotting and drilling. Slotting I always end up with a hole that's too big and it just floods and is unusable. Drilling has been perfect. Little bitty hole, no distortion.
