Anybody else noticed the overall slowdown on ECF? Not just in NT land, but overall? Could it be we've reached our Nirvana's and become settled with our vape, and all the vape geeks (ie - vapers who know what forums are) are already here?

I ask because I noticed the thread activity in both New Members and General vaping are about a third of what they once were.

I'd post, but I just discovered Nicoticket "The Virus" in particular. Tried a 30 ml bottle, loved it so much I ordered 4 60 ml bottles! Of course started a thread of how great it was! But I'm still working through that order :w00t:
Anyway I noticed the lag also. Here's hoping things pick up soon.

Personally, I know that my activity in the forums has slowed down in the past year. It has more to do with knowing a lot more now than I did when I first joined. My hardware purchases are more knowledgeable (I know what I want, I have what I'm happy with, and I don't really succumb to "shinyitis" anymore), and my juice purchases and searches for new vendors has pretty much stopped (I like what I'm buying, and I don't feel that urge to find new vendors). I still make it a point to log in every day, and I do the encouragement post for new members, and may post on a topic or two that interests me, but I think it's because I've finally reached a "vape level" that's working for me right now, that my activity level in the forums has slowed to a crawl...

That, and I think fewer people need to be on the forum to figure out vaping as so many shops are opening up. Used to be you had to come here to find information about building coils, good deals etc. Now there are vaping shops that will help with all of that and plenty of people around to help the new folks find e-juice they like. It's moving into real life and off the internet I guess.

I think that sums it up. I've been on the forum a couple years, and even fair weather didn't slow it nearly this much. Less new members, less learning curve, found what we like, etc.

It always slows down in the summer imho...I totally agree on the less learning curve though... I have tried everything - I landed on sub-ohm tanks and regulated box mods. (that's what I have been vaping for months anyway). As soon as I got the IPVv3 in my hand, it hasn't left. I haven't touched my bottom feeders OR built a coil in months - too much "fiddle". I don't want to be an enthusiast, I just want simple simple simple.

Also, I think we have reached the point of diminishing returns as it comes to wattage - I mean, I almost never vape at more than 75w. I am sure some people do - not my style though.

I been testing some new devices but nothing has really knocked my socks off.

Overall - I think growth in the whole segment has slowed. The market is saturated with choices and consumers are confused and intimidated. At this point I can't even begin to estimate how many juice companies there are - and - consider all of the hardware that has come out in just the last 3 years... it's crazy if you think about it (trying to keep up with it all). I think at some point enthusiasts grow bored, too... I know I have found that I want to pay LESS attention to vaping and just have it work like a cigarette (without all the effort).

Hey Clark! What topper do you use with your IPVv3?

I've been looking into getting one. I too am getting a little bored of "fiddling" with my REO and just want something easier that you can also change the wattage on.

@empteeteacup, I'm not quite sure what Clark is using right now on his IPVv3, but I use the Herakles. (it can be found here http://www.nicoticket.com/hardware/herakles-sub-ohm-tank/ ) I like it because it travels easily and gives good flavor without sacrificing vapor.

I love the Herakles! Fantastic flavor!

(I could list the other atties I've tried for comparison, if you want)
I'm a fairly heavy vaper, and I will get about a week out of a coil, depending on the juice. I do occasionally ream out the coil gunk with a twisted bit of paper towel, twisting it down into the vertical coil. It helps extend the life.

Does the Herakles have a build deck to do your own coils (like the sub ohm tank...)? That's one thing I always forget to ask...
Great question Megan! I'm tired of buying coils only to have to pitch them after a few weeks. If I can't rebuild them I don't buy them. :glare: :lol:

Have you tried the Atlantis Triton? I think I have it narrowed down to that and the Herakles. I'm a mouth to lung flavour chaser, and a few people have said that the Triton is good for that.

Edit: @Katia @Kent Brooks If you guys could offer an IPV3 bundle with the Herkles, that would be greeeeaaaat, thaaaaanks.

No, I haven't tried the Triton.
Once I found love for the Herk, I quit looking for "better".
Well, I bought the Crown after, because a few guys on the forum kept insisting it was better, and it's really not. The flavor is decent, but not as rich as the Herk. Plus it produces more vapor, and it goes through juice a lot faster. You'd think more vapor would mean more flavor, but it doesn't. And the coils are a little more expensive, and harder to find.

(I've used the Uwell Crown, Cthulu, Lemo2, GEM, Kanger STM, Nautilus Mini, Magma, and the Alliance)

The Herakles is a pretty loose draw, I am not sure it will be good for MTL'ing.
In fact, you can't even completely close it down.

I don't think it has an RDA base either. I dont mind tossing a $2 coil a week. It's about convenience and consistency for me.
