I'd take it off your hands. It's the one piece of the Semovar I don't have.

Sent via an over priced mobile communication device...

Thanks Fazed. Plan A is to conquer it. Plan B, back to intaste. You are plan C, but do not count on it. Bill and the pig may offer better alternatives. Or you can buy one like a man from the .ru site mention earlier in this thread. Thanks to poo-tin, the ruble drops by the hour and may be your best option.

I just replaced the window with a red one. What a PITA those little nuts are to get in place. After trying to hold them with my pinky, then resorting to trying to tape them in place I realized I had a pair of hemostats handy. Window in and waiting for the KFL+ to empty to replace the clear tank.
Also in the mail today was a Rocket Science Pyrex drip tip. Nice big bore so it hits really well. If they made red Pyrex it would be pretty sweet.

Well, just got my sticker, and I am stuck. Seemed ok, but when I tried to remove the battery tube, I removed the battery mount from the sticker by mistake. That, was a major mistake. So then I had to totally break the thing down because there was a screw loose in the base. Not sure I put it back together properly - note that even putting it back together improperly is a major hassle - it does not work. Control head throws an E1 then plays dead.

My Semo is back into deal-doh mode and working just fine.

Words of wisdom from those more wise than me?

I haven't been on the thread for a while, I didn't make it out of February without someone offering me a 2nd user Sticker ;)

I had the same problem, mine wasn't aligned when I put it together. So I took it apart I figured it needed cleaning anyway and my biggest concern was the voltage drop when attached as a friend of mine has had ongoing problems. Both of the Semos are good @ .1v VD without the Sticker attached but varies between .3 - .6v I can live with .3v given the contacts are steel. I was warned it's made up of lots of parts my first attempt at cleaning and alignment didn't yield great results but I didn't spend much time on it once I got back to terra firma using a fibre glass contact cleaner.

I'm going to revisit it tomorrow when I get off the water and have some time.

@ethermion
I will do a take down and post pics see if we can fix it.

Was it ok the first time you used it? Do you think it's an assembly problem or faulty from new?

I didn't have any shorting issues the couple of times I had it apart.

I'll be back tomorrow evening GMT.

Would be good to hear everyones voltage drop numbers, I really like the sticker but it may need some brass parts maybe not.

See you all on the other side, vape on!

Well it would have been nice if you had said so a few posts earlier. My fault for asking a pig about imported vaping accessories. I knew about teaching a pig to sing... And just to be clear, if the base touches the positive bridge, you get smoke from your battery, then a panic attack that you fried the chip.

I am not giving up. I will fight with it in the morning. I like the idea, but it seems overly complex for what it does. If no love after a sober effort, I will consult my girlfriend at intaste. I think she likes me. Here is hoping that she is not... a pig.

Screws most certainly standard metric. May stop at chateau depot for loctite & insulating washers, and can test the screw size. I will post if so.

And there is no anti-gravity feature. If you throw it on the floor, it just stays there. Trust me. Tested that several times.

Vapin' Bill, are you following this?

Cheers

It worked just fine when I got it. Vaped for an hour or so, then decided to try a different sized battery tube. The battery mount came off instead of the battery tube itself, and I could not re-assemble without a total tear-down. I was on a conference call for work and not really paying attention, gosh, how complicated could it be? Then I found myself deep in the rabbit hole, and the rest I have already documented.

I am positive that it is an assembly problem and I may have compromised an insulator or two. It can be figured out and salvaged. But clearly overly complicated and clearly the designer dude was ... Kaif.

If you can help with some tear down pics, and moral support, I would be grateful. No real reason that it cannot be repaired. Mostly just angry at the darn thing. For now, it sleeps on the cold hard floor.

Hey Phone Guy! Where are you? I heard you were getting some red "Makrolon" to pimp your Semo. If you can manage to install them, it will not look like this.

Hey Phone Guy! Where are you? I heard you were getting an 18350 tube. Here is a pic of my 18500 tube next to an 18350 tube. The 18500 is bigger. My 18650 is yet even bigger. Spoke with my wife, and a few of my girlfriends, and they all agree that bigger is better.

Ethermion, my young friend....you have much to learn....it has nothing to do with size, it's how you put your tube to use! ;)

Thanks for that. Perhaps that is the mini sticker? Mine is nothing like that.

Okay. Just saw the title on the top of the screen. It is the mini. Duh. But kind of you to post it, as there are similarities.

Unfortunately, merely young at heart. Unfortunately, too old to learn. Fortunately never had to live with a micro build. Maybe things are different in Texas. The ladies have smaller expectations, perhaps. Or maybe you live in a part of Texas where it gets cold.
